Happy with how the 2022 youngsters at NCS Birdroom are progressing.
These are Opals in Yellow and Yellow Ivory.
This year we have opals in Black and Agate in Intensive, non intensive and mosaic with all these birds being split for Recessive White.
These will form part of the recessive White Opal breeding program for 2023.
Our aim is to establish a larger genetic pool in each of the recessive white series, whilst improving the conformation of the birds in line with world show standards. This will help ensure that recessive white canaries have a healthy future in Australia.

2022 Agate & Black Yellow Opals bred at NCS Birdroom Australia
Outcrossing the Recessive White Lipochrome into Red Ivory to broaden the genetic pool of my foundation birds.
All the female young from this pair will be Red split for Recessive White. All the male offspring will be Red split for Red Ivory and Split for Recessive White.
Two year project to get Recessive White birds from this line but a necessity to ensure that there is a strong foundation pool of genetics for the breed.
