Eleanor Russell had spent nearly 40 years breeding superb horses with fantastic temperaments. This is a page is a tribute to those horses.

Our last foal for the season was born on the 3rd of January and the last foal at Beltana Park by Sam (Le Grand Pomme). He has been named Beltana Odin. The name is from Norse mythology and is associated with wisdom, strength and courage.

We have decided due to recently losing 2 of our young horses, one of which was very traumatic, to no longer continue breeding horses.

As we had already purchased 2 services to Pegasus Lodge Silver Sovereign these will be used for 2025 foals and will be our last foals.

Although recent events have really made us question humanity, we as a whole have really enjoyed the experience. We have loved every single horse we have bred and absolutely love seeing them go on to be loved and allowed to shine.

We only have 2 geldings left available by Sam, so if you are after a very special equine friend, please get in contact.

This is a very bitter sweet time for us.

We are very happy to announce that Beltana Duke has sold to a fabulous home and he will be heading off to his new him this week. It was nice to get some photos with his siblings before he goes.

Foal no.2 for the season, born on Thursday morning. A beautiful filly with 4 socks.
Both fillies have been spoken for but we do have a couple 2 and 3yo geldings for sale.

We have weaned the 2022 foals ready for this season's foals to arrive.

We don't think we will have to many years left with Le Grand Pomme, he is 22 this year so if you are interested in one of his foals we have a selection of weanlings (Puzzle the bay and Boots the chestnut) riding 2 and 3 year olds on the market.

Beltana Just Divine (Le Grand Pomme/Beltana Lulu owned by Shevaun Sly) and Beltana D'Diamond (D'Dur/Beltana Sweet Obsession) out and about on the weekend winning both divisions of the Open Grade 4 Horse Trails at Yarrambat.

I'm very slow at posting that our first foal for 2022 has sold. I know his new human is going to have a very comfy ride on that canter in a few years time and that he is going to shine in everything he does. He has been named Beltana Pl***oy 🙌
