To all our valued patient clients.
We would like to announce that the newly renovated My Lucky Pet Grooming has now reopened for business.

We’d like to deeply thank everyone’s support, kindness and genuine heartfelt condolences we received while we stepped back to mourn the loss of our beloved Lucky.

We are still taking things slowly and are forced to re learn what it’s like to run the business without Luckys physical presence moving forward. We still have our extremely tough days but what keeps up going is the fact that Lucky LOVED being inside the grooming salon being the supervisor, greeting and playing with dogs and receiving everyone’s pats and head kisses on arrival.

We’ve made the decision to continue with the business as Lucky was as the birth of this business It all started because of him.
We love what we do and it would feel like a disservice to allow this business to stop because he’s no longer here. Lucky would not have wanted that.
He instead has passed the torch to his little nephew Merlin to now supervise the salon.

During the time we took off, we also took the opportunity to gave the salon a much needed face lift. We are excited to see all your beautiful faces back in our salon and see what you think!
We can’t wait to hug and kiss all our pups that we missed so much.

My Lucky Pet Grooming 🐾

As most of you may be aware in November last year my own dog Lucky was diagnosed with an aggressive type of cancer. With the type of treatment recommended he was given 6 months, we have now reached 8 months since the diagnosis and have reached the palliative care stage of treatment. This progression was inevitable but still has hit me really hard.

I started this business because I was inspired by Lucky. He has and always will be my reason for a lot of the work I do.
I know a lot of my clients love Lucky, as he has always been the first one out to greet you on arrival and has been the self proclaimed ‘Boss’ of the business who keeps everyone (including me) in check.
I want to thank everyone who greeted Lucky with such love and excitement when they saw him the day of appointments. He truely loved being apart and fully immersed in everything.

I am temporarily stepping back from the business and grooming to spend what time I have left with him; spoiling him, loving him, making sure he is comfortable and just appreciating every second of him.

I’m sure a lot of you can understand how deeply devastating all of this has been for me and my family, so please bear with us as we navigate this tough time. I cannot give anybody a time frame of when I will be returning to work but will keep you posted via socials upon my return.

This time of year is one of the busiest for vet clinics and emergency vets!

Please keep your pet safe this Easter and ensure your chocolate stash and the Easter food favourites are well out of reach (e.g. Hot Cross Buns which contain currants and sultanas)! If you’re organising an Easter egg hunt, secure your pet inside/away from the area and make sure all eggs are collected before giving them access again.

⚠️Chocolate and pets are a very dangerous combination⚠️

Chocolate contains a chemical called theobromine that the human body can process, but dogs and cats cannot.

Chocolate poisoning can range from mild to severe and can be life threatening if not treated.

Please keep an eye out for any of the following signs of chocolate toxicity:
🍫 Vomiting
🐾 Diarrhoea
🍫 Rapid breathing or panting
🐾 Salivation
🍫 Increase in body temperature
🐾 Increase in thirst
🍫 Increase in urination
🐾 Anxious or agitated behaviour
🍫 Tremors, shaking and seizures

If your pet has eaten chocolate, no matter how small the quantity, please contact your nearest vet or 24/7 EMERGENCY VET CLINIC.

Carrots on the other hand are OK 😉
