That’s a wrap, after 13 wonderful years of the Dog Grooming business I created. Couldn’t have done this without the wonderful staff who loved and cared for all the puppers with me over the years. Kylie, Mel, Brooke & Becky, the very best staff over the years who made the business the success it was. The welcoming party will miss greeting each and every doggy . Much love, Dianne 🐾❤️🐩🐾.

To my wonderful clients – both two and four legged.

As many of you know, our property has sold, and we’re off to greener pastures in Tynong. From 1st September 2025, Peninsula Dog & Cat Groomery will officially merge with Barking Mad Grooming, 1083 Frankston-Flinders Rd, Somerville, just 3 minutes up the road, conveniently located next to the Somerville Library and Aldi.

You’ll still see the same familiar faces – Kylie, who has been caring for & grooming your precious pups and kitty’s here for the past 8 years, and Becky our groomers assistant, will both be joining Michelle and her amazing team at Barking Mad Grooming. Rest assured, your furry friends will continue to receive the same love, care, and high-quality grooming they’ve always known.

Until the end of August, all appointments will continue at 103 Bungower Rd, Somerville. From 1st September, all future appointments will be transferred to Barking Mad Grooming.

It truly is the end of an era for me. Over the past 12 years, I’ve had the absolute pleasure of meeting so many incredible people and their doggies. I’ll miss you all dearly – but the ponies need more land and it’s time for me to create my next business venture, “Noah’s Ark Mobile Animal Farm”.

Kylie took her skills to the next level by attending a First Aid workshop for Groomers, hosted by Medi Pet Australia and Groomers Nation. Building on her wealth of experience in identifying signs of disease or infections and handling senior clients with care, Kylie gained a fresh perspective on the latest advancements in the pet medical industry. While hopefully her bandaging skills won't be needed, Kylie's practice session on her own dog, Bruno, means you can have complete peace of mind when entrusting your pets to her care.

As of January 1st next year, a $100 deposit per animal will be required for new dog and cat clients to secure their booking. As a small business, we strive to maintain our operations, but the failure of new clients to notify us of cancellations or honour their appointments significantly impacts our productivity. Today, we incurred losses ranging from $320 to $500. Kylie, our sole cat groomer, dedicates Thursdays to her clients, resulting in a fully booked schedule. Moreover, we had a waiting list of clients eager for appointments, but unfortunately, it was too late to accommodate them as most individuals were already at work.

We're taking on new small/medium clients at the moment.
Sorry no more big dogs- we just don't have the room on our schedule.

Take note where booked up 4 weeks in advance....so plan ahead.

Don't forget our regulars(4-8weekly bookings) have 2 to 4 appointments left till Christmas!! 🎅🤶🥂

REMINDERS & CANCELLATION POLICY CHANGES

Due to the high volume of cancellations recently we have implemented the following:

* Reminders for the week will all be sent out on the Saturday prior, not the day before as we have previously done.

* If you wish to cancel or reschedule your appointment 48 hrs notice is required otherwise a $50 cancellation fee will apply- no exceptions.

* Please note if you are wishing to reschedule your appointment we are currently booked out 6 weeks in advance so have no room to squeeze a re-scheduled appointment in.

* If your doggie is not kept to their regular grooming schedule they may have to be taken much shorter than you like, we absolutely won’t cause a dog the pain of de-matting, and it will cost you more as it takes longer to groom.

* We will continue to love & pamper all our four-legged clients as we have always done, no changes there ❤️❤️❤️
