Good bye 19/44 Mahoneys rd, a stop over where we managed to complete a bunch of lifesize mounts , including Rhino and Elephant as we branch into a new direction in our business model with museums and private collectors.

The big lift and mammoth delivery , thanks to experienced teams , patience and a bunch of professional people , we got Ele delivered, on time and within 2 hours was sealed inside its permanent displat gallery by a team of carpenters.
Over the next few months i will continue to detail Congo as it rests and stabilizers in its new surrounds.

Is the Vic State govt broke?
Seems as though. Roads around the state are a wreck , rubbish stren along the sides unchecked, graffiti splattered along every major roadway, and the verge and mediums grass overgrown and uncut for months. And if this is a Vic Roads issue, its because Jacinta and her tribe have overspent digging tunnels here there and anywhere, well beyond their means,,our means. And here is the latest, The M80 - Eastlink tunnel is going to be clad in a special enamel metal cladding,,, at huge expense,,, because its easier to clean graffiti off,, Its our money Polys, i bet they carnt wait to grab their golden handshakes and take up consulting posts with the firms they dealt with.

When theres an Elephant in the room..
After 24 years its done .
First Lifesize African Bull Elephant tanned and mounted in Australia at South Pacific Taxidermy.
A Jumbo thank you to all involved, Hank Van Leewen, Ian " Buckey " Jones and close friend , the late Ben Carillo for the retrival and assistance in skin out., Steph Weeda, who will go down in Australian folklore as the only woman taxidermist in the world to shave an entire Bull Elephant on her own, Hendrik of HGI taxidermy South Africa for the knowledge and lifesize form for the mounting of these animals, Mr Make it Happen , Good friend Tony Psaila for the logistics of getting the form to Australia, Geoff Mantle in alterations, Johnnie Psaila in internal metal fabrications, Jim Fonz shaving, the mounting crew Mario Carnesi of Melbourne Taxidermy , Ashley Duggan , Peter Avraam, Marnie Bettenay and most of all , talented wingman Rudi Anton who has seen a lot of stitches and problem solving in mounting these major projects at South Pacific Taxidermy. Lastly, my darling wife Anna who has endured my late hours and anguish over "The Elephant" whilst mothering our new arrival Jackson. As they say , when it rains it pours.
Now to crate and move the mount to its final location before commencing detailing and coloration of this monumental "Made in Australia" project

Witnessed one of those amazing life time events just now. Both my wife and my father in law had told me about seeing a very small snake up at the front gate. Concerning to say the least . Coming home i noticed a Kookaburra perched about 8 feet above the drive , back to me focused on other things. Said to my 4 yo son in the car, lets just sit and wait , we might see something amazing The kooka sat there for about 5 minutes, then turned and swooped down to the ground in front of us to retrieve a brown snake about 6 " long, He flew back upto the gate rail where after a quick despatch it went straight down. I Turned to my son who had also been watching , and said what do you think of that! A few seconds later the kookaburra took off towards us, and i honestly thought he was coming through the windscreen when he lifted and cleared the car , probably only by a few inches and perched in a tree out in the street.
An amazing event
Nature, if we take the time to observe, we can witness some amazing events.
