What a sight, I’ll never tire of !
These big and healthy puppies have no doubt been in a good paddock, so to speak !! Cyan is a first class mum and these pups were photographed when they were just 6 days old, it shows just how big , happy and content they are …. They are fast alseep inside our home, beautifully looked after, by there mum Cyan and under my close watch, Im right there with her as the support team if need be !!

It’s with great excitement we welcomed a beautiful litter of puppies yesterday, from our lovely girl Cyan and the very handsome Richard owned by Karen and Elain of Maghera border Collies, thankyou for allowing us the privilege to include Richard in our breeding. Cyan is doing really well and is a first class mum to her pups, she just totally adores them, Cyan had to have a Caesarian after one of the girls decided to make herself known right from the start she was breech and couldn’t be moved, all went really well thanks to the skilled team at West Gippsland Vet Care. Cyan and all of her pups are doing really well they are big strong pups and super attractive to look at, I couldn’t be happier with what I see… these photos were taken about 3 hours after they were born 💕

It’s with much excitement that we count down until the arrival of a special litter of puppies !
I can not thank Karen and Elain from Maghera Border Collies for allowing us the privilege to include Richard into our breeding, he’s a dog that I have admired and followed closely since I first saw him as a baby puppy, he has since gone on to great things including winning at the Border Collie National In Queensland and winning the Dog Cc at royal Royal Melbourne show are just a couple of his highlights, Cyan herself has never been shown for no other reason except I was busy with my family, however neither of her parents need any introduction, both have won at the highest levels in there respective countries and are both very well known and admired around the world !! Both Richard and Cyan are beautiful big movers. Im just so excited to be waiting for these puppies 💕 thankyou to my friend Aleksandra who has made this stunning picture for me you are such a talented lady x

It’s flashback Friday !
This photo is one of my favorite photos of smokey and myself together 14 years ago. A while after the national border collie show in Canberra 2009, where together we won Best Puppy In Show, smokey was offered the special opportunity to go to the UK and compete, after some hard decisions, we allowed smokey to travel and I’ll always be greatful for the opportunities he was given and what he achieved. A Best In Show winner, placings in group, his UK championship show title and many Res cc, smokey was owned by Ross Green and Alicia Pennington and later in his retirement was absolutely adored by Collette Green. We had the opportunity to travel to the UK to visit smokey and I had the privilege to handle him at Crufts. Smokey became very well known and admired and appears in many pedigrees of top winning border collies around the world today. Smokey was a beautiful boy and was loved by anyone who knew him. Smokey passed away a few years ago but his memory will always live on. Smokey was collected and frozen in Australia before he left, one day in the future I will look forward to having smokey puppies again 💕 UK CH Sashdan Smokin Joe ( Exp Australia)

Yesterday I attended the Dogs Victoria Open Shows, I am absolutely thrilled with our results and the dogs performances

Thankyou to judge Clare Van Der Wold, for awarding my boys so highly, it’s always very special to be awarded by someone who is involved in and understands working dogs.
The difference in Eddie’s performance from last week to this week is incredible the work I’ve put into him is all coming together. For Radley this was his very first show, he’s the ultimate party boy, full of life and a huge exuberant personality, he got better and better as the day went on, showing that he is also one big moving puppy.
I’m very proud of these 2 boys, and I have been overwhelmed by the lovely comments and messages I have received about them both.
It was so nice to see lots of friends again some I hadn’t seen in years. Congratulations to everyone who enjoyed success over the weekend, it was a great day out

Over this past weekend I dusted off my show clothes and we went to 2 championship shows … after a long time playing in the garden, Eddie came out to play .. this was only his 3rd and 4th ever show and his very first all breeds shows im very proud .. this boy did ever so well and I’m overwhelmed by the comments and enquiries ever since. He’s such a special and beautiful boy and just adores me… anyone who knows border collies knows very well his huge success at the border collie national in 2024 at his very first show… Eddie has since been at home enjoying life and allowing to be a puppy growing up, I’m very pleased to say he was awarded Res cc at both shows at his first attempt!! The comments on his movement were greatly appreciated. Hes Still so young I can’t wait to see what the future holds. This gorgeous photo was taken of eddie outside the pavilion yesterday ! It’s flashback Friday !!
And this time we don’t need to go back very far at all.
Today we remember an incredibly special dog that I bred and one who needs very little introduction . The one and only “skip”

From the day he was born I said straight out he was going to be special and he more than exceeded that expectation ! Skip had the very special opportunity to travel to Scotland to live with our very good friend John Ritchie and be promoted to the highest level on the world wide stage, I still remember standing crying in my driveway when he left and I lost count of the amount to times over the years that I was told I was crazy to let such a dog go, In actual fact it was quiet the opposite, it was one of the best things I did, at the time I was promoting my other dogs and having a young family I couldn’t give skip the opportunity he deserved to shine in the show ring so I allowed him to travel and be with John, together they achieved so much, a Best in show Winner, A Runner up best in show winner, a
2 x reserve CC winner at Crufts, a multi green star winner in Ireland, a dog who’s name featured many times in the top dog awards. And above all he was John’s best mate and heart dog, the bond they shared was something that’s not seen everyday. What they achieved together has ensured skips name is permanently etched in history. It’s was an incredible journey to watch and be part of and I’ll always be forever greatful of the beautiful home skip was offered, the way he was loved and promoted and the friendship that we have, I could never have asked for more, skip got to live his best life, he had the chance to shine and he was never lost from me, his frozen semen came back to me here in Australia and over the years we’ve had his pups, and one day in the future we will have his pups again, Skip was sadly taken from us all before his time, today I remember this dog who is an absolute legend within our breed 💕💕

Yesterday Radley headed out to the local football, socialising, getting non stop pats, getting to eat potato cakes and hot chips, meeting lots of people and he met lots of dogs but the highlight of his day was seeing Sunny, they had the best day hanging out together !

Something I’ve been asked a lot about is the color variation in ee red border collies, ee red can range in shades of color from the very lightest of red, a wheaten or sandy colour, all the way through to a very dark rich red colour, all of these shades light or dark are correct and all are accepted in the border collie breed standard.
My dogs, Sienna -Sashdan You Are My Sunshine and Eddie - Sashdan Pure Gold, are often commented on how dark colored they are as ee reds, I took this photo the other night out walking on the left is Eddie whos very well known for his very rich red color and on the right is my puppy Radley - Sashdan Walkin on Sunshine, who is just 5 months old, radleys adult coat is just starting to come through and he’s showing that hes going to be even darker in color and will continue to darken with age ❤️ both Eddie and Radley are darker coloured ee reds
