Thankyou to everyone who has shown interest in our current litter of pups, being Christmas time, I haven’t posted updates on my page as much, as I spent quality time with my family. Today, the pups had a little bath and I took them out for just a few minutes into the natural daylight so we could see the colours properly as daylight and night light can be very deceptive. They are still beautifully coloured puppies for only two weeks old, I’m not having any favourites yet, but I have to say the dark coloured puppy is already nearly as dark as Sienna as an adult , at just two weeks old which is quite incredible, as red pups get much darker with age, photos have been compared and I can truely say Sienna was nowhere near this colour at the same age when she was a baby puppy, she was much lighter and is just the most stunning Red could you could ask for as an adult . The pups eyes have opened, and they are now staggering around, trying to find their feet, as I look at them, I see some beautiful shapes and I can’t help but be excited. 💕

To win top honours at such a young age is so exciting as there are some lovely border collies in Israel, the future is so exciting as Syd continues to mature and develop !! A couple of days ago we welcomed Sienna and Mavericks puppies into the world. Three very big healthy and beautiful baby boys ..Sienna had a Caesarian and she is doing really well with her little family. I knew through DNA testing that black, Red and blue maybe possible however I did get a suprise to see the whole litter is red, there color for new born pups is beautiful and will continue to darken with age, this photo was taken at 4 hours old. Thankyou very much to Dr Mitchell Dodds and the team at WGVC, for going above and beyond to help Sienna deliver these special puppies !!
Stay tuned for lots of updates and photos as these precious babies grow and develop, with the pedigree they’ve got I’m super excited to watch them grow 💕💕

Well the results are in and we are very proud of these dogs and there owners, they were bred here in Australia by us and travelled to the UK to live. Yesterday the results of the BCCGB point score for 2024 where released, how exciting are the results !
Top overall puppy : Sashdan Pure Imagination
Top dog 3rd : Sashdan Pure Imagination - quiet remarkable considering he’s still a young dog .
Top stud dog 4th : CH Sashdan high hopes for dykebar JW
Top stud dog 8th : International CH Sashdan friendly persuasion dykebar
Top brood female 4th: CH Sashdan Never ending story JW
Top brood female 7 th : Sashdan Pure Innocence - This particular girl has never left Australia she lives with me however this result has come about due to the success of her son in the UK
Of course none of this would be possible without the love and care each dog is given by it’s owners Thankyou for promoting them and giving them a chance to shine.
As I look through this list I see so many other names of dogs down from our bloodlines and I would like to congratulate you all on this achievement, to reach the top 10 in any category, in the country of origin of border collies, I believe is an incredible achievement. Well done everyone 💕💕

Sirena is a proper working girl and doesn’t she look great in her uniform !!
We are proud to say that Sirena is a fully qualified assistance dog, she lives in Queensland and has a very important and special job in life everyday she works with people in the community who have given so much and served for our country, with her training and qualifications Sirena can be seen anywhere, in supermarkets, shops, on trains, in taxis, hospitals, drs, restaurants.. you name it everywhere her owner goes Sirena is allowed to go as well ! It’s an absolute credit to her owners and friends on the training she has done to achieve this and it’s also a credit to her and the temperaments of our dogs, as assistance dog work is definitely not for everyone. Sirena is one of two dogs that we have bred that are now fully qualified assistance dogs, Sirena has a friend also in Queensland, Bella who also came from us she is also doing incredible things out in the community as an assistance dog with her owner, as the breeder of these girls we are very proud of what these girls do everyday and hope that by sharing the work they do helps raise awareness of the importance of assistance dogs, what these girls do each day is worth more than any ribbon or trophy that they could win at a show - pictured Sashdan secret affair - “Sirena”

Today I go back to 1995…. “Monty” was my dads dog but was a loved family member to us all, he was the very first dog I showed and made into an Australian champion and later I also trained him to his CD obedience title. Out of every dog I’ve ever trained or Handled monty was the dog who I learnt the most from he certainly made you think. Australian Champion Ellagant N Debonaire CD

Are you thinking about a border collie for your family but don’t want a baby puppy ? Sometimes we need to make incredibly tough choices as we can’t keep them all, currently we have a 10 month old red white male and a 10 month old black white male looking for loving forever homes, these boys have both been vet checked, desexed and are up to date with vaccinations and worming they are both micro chipped and registered with dogs Victoria they come with a folio full of information and a bag with food and toys to help them get started in there new homes, both parents are fully dna tested and hip scored with great results. I am happy to answer any questions and only loving forever homes will be considered 🐾🐾🐾💕💕💕

In years gone by…. Well before DNA testing was available. I can remember buying huge poster size pieces of paper from the local Newsagency and writing down, pedigrees on these with different colour, pencils, and highlighters, trying to calculate what may or may not happen in a potential litter !! as I look today and think about years gone by how far we have come in Genetic Testing I’d be happy to hear any comments or experiences that you have in years gone by … and it’s amazing how far we have come !

It’s exciting times here, as we are awaiting the arrival of puppies from our gorgeous Sienna and very handsome Maverick !! Both parents have been fully DNA tested with excellent results and both parents have been Penn hip scored and have hip scores below the breed average.
I’m so excited for the arrival of these pups in mid December, as I look at the pedigree it’s full of some outstanding and top winning dogs! Thankyou Aleksandra for making this beautiful advertisement!

Exciting news from Scotland !! Huge congratulations to Pete and Vonnie Simmons.
Keah -UK CH Sashdan never ending story JW, made her return to the show ring, at the working and pastoral championship show in Scotland, this was her first time being shown as a veteran, she was awarded, Res cc, best veteran in breed, Best veteran in Pastoral group (group1), and then won the ultimate award of BEST VETERAN IN SHOW!!
To top of an incredible day Keahs son Blunder won his very first cc at this same show and Arlie was Res dog CC, what a great day for the team !! Huge congratulations we are very proud 💕

We went to the bccv championship show this past weekend, the dogs performed very well considering all except for 1, it was only there second ever show, it’s lovely to be back out showing again and catching up with everyone !
Carrie - Sashdan pure innocence ( pictured) was our star of the day winning the limit class !
Eddie was 3rd in best headed, 2nd owner bred and handled and 2nd in junior. Fun fact Carrie is Eddie’s mum so for us it was mother and son day out 🙂 Thankyou to my family who helped with getting things ready and helped on the day. I couldn’t have done this show without your help

It’s throw back Thursday again !!

This time we go back to 1994…

Last week so many of you liked hearing about my first dog Sasha and how the history of how the “Sashdan” name developed. Today I thought I’d share this photo, this was a very proud moment, these were the very first trophy’s and sashes that Sasha and I won together in obedience, I was just 17 years old …. it’s fair to say this was the moment that I was certain I wanted to compete with my dogs in the future !! I went straight home and after taking photos, these Sashes were hung on the wall above my bed head and the trophy’s sat on my bedside table. Where I could look at them everyday and dream of bigger things 🙂
