Dear friends and doggo-lovers!
You may already be aware of what amazing work Pets of The Homeless do for people and pets in our communities - They recently put the call out for foster carers of larger dogs, which they are struggling to find care for at the moment.
POTH are holding a virtual info session this month, for anyone who wants to learn more and might have room in their homes and hearts, to help these doggos (and their adoring humans in turn) for a while.
Many of us are lucky to know what a light it is, having a big boofhead in our lives. If you think you might be able to help others to preserve this bond that means so much, especially in challenging times, please consider tuning in on the 18th June ☺️
You would have seen our recent call outs for more foster carers especially for larger breed dogs. In light of this, we have decided to put together another virtual info session for those who are interested in finding out more how our foster care program works.
Our foster carers look after pets in situations when their owners need some time to find permanent housing, leave an unsafe environment or receive medical treatment. Being a POTH foster carer is a really rewarding experience because not only is it like having a pet without the long-term commitment, you're actively giving someone who is struggling the chance to get back on their feet by looking after their animal companion.
If you are located in metro Victoria and want to know more, sign up to our next virtual info session (on the 18th of June) through the link below! 🐶🐱
