ZERO POUND EUTHANASIA ! We've never met a Cat that couldn't be Loved.

"Our mission is to positively impact Stray Cat Numbers through our Community Desexing Program. We aim to reduce Community Cat Pregnancies, and educate Australians about the importance of Desexing their Pets... and we encourage Pet Vaccination for disease and infection control”. We offer Rescue to all Domestic Animals throughout Victoria. We have a Team dedicated to helping Melbourne Based Resident

s, whom English is not their first language; we educate them on responsible Pet Ownership, ensuring their Pets are Desexed, Microchipped and Vaccinated. We assist them with Vet Bookings, Payment and Transportation... by doing this, we are significantly impacting on Overcrowding problems in Pounds and Shelters throughout the State. We currently assist several Pounds throughout Victoria, by offering Rescue to Domestic Animals that would otherwise be Euthanised for being scared, or needing medical attention. We Fundraise daily so we can meet all Medical requirements of Animals in our Care. Our Feral Cat Rehabilitation Program is dedicated to Rescuing Scared/Feral/Aggressive Cat’s from Pound Euthanasia Lists. We have a 100% Success rate, and are proud of our Teams Dedication. No one should be Euthanised just because they are scared !!! Our long term goal:
We are in the process of establishing affordable Community Veterinary Clinics throughout Victoria... starting in highly Populated, and fast growing Municipal 'Wyndham'. We want to make Vet Care affordable to everyone. This is crucial to our Mission, in ensuring the Breeding Cycle stops for thousands of Domestic and Stray Cats. This will also result in the reduction of undesexed Kittens being given away 'Free to Good Home'... where they will then, continue the Breeding Cycle. We want to propose to all Local Governments throughout Australia... a Plan to adopt a 'NO KILL' policy within Pounds and Shelters. Instead, we should be offering Rescue to all Animals, and educating Australians via a repetitive National Media Campaign about the importance of Desexing Pets, and keeping Cat’s indoors overnight. Together, we can do this!..because a Rescue Kitty, is the Best Kitty! and... no Animal should be Euthanised, just because she is scared! We rely on Donations to continue our very important work for the Community, as we are all Volunteers. All Donations over $2 are Tax deductible. Our journey began in 2019 when I established a small animal rescue called ‘Give a Kitty a Home Rescue Inc.’ What started as a humble effort has since grown beyond my wildest dreams. I feel incredibly blessed to be surrounded by like-minded individuals who volunteer their time and share my passion for animal welfare.

In 2022, with the unbelievably generous support of our Victorian Government, I was able to establish a Not-for-Profit Vet Clinic. The purpose of this clinic is to make veterinary care affordable for everyone with a beloved furry friend, while also focusing on high-volume desexing efforts.
Reflecting on the thousands of companion animals that our small team has rescued, rehabilitated, desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, and rehomed in such a short time is a testament to our unwavering passion and dedication to the welfare of these animals.

Our commitment to preventing unwanted litters is driven by the heartbreaking reality of the high number of healthy cats and dogs being euthanized in pounds simply because there isn’t enough space for them. We know that prevention is the best cure, and by continuing our work, we can make a significant impact on reducing the number of cats in shelters. Our ultimate goal is to work towards bringing pound kill numbers to ZERO in Victoria.

As we look to the future, our next ambitious idea is the establishment of a mobile desexing van. This van would allow us to travel throughout Victoria, making affordable and convenient desexing services accessible to all communities in need.
