As our clinic grows, we are seeking new staff to join our wonderful team.
We are a mostly a high volume Desexing clinic, including routine Eye Removal surgery, Amputation and also offering consultations with Vaccinations and basic in-house tests and pathology send off.
Currently we need staff to fill in the following shifts, with the possibility of permanent employment.

2 babies came into our care.
Their mother had been killed by a Car leaving them orphaned. Our brilliant foster carers Belinda and Graham sprung into action and nursed these babies tending to their needs... while their mumma watched over in spirit.

They are currently in someone’s back yard. We already rescued 5 from there but there are 3 more females possibly pregnant soon again and these kittens are the 3 females’s previous kittens.
We’ll get them free from fleas&worm and double check if they are healthy before sending them to you.

'Wobbles' is gaining strength in her legs and is definitely ready to be independently mobile.
Wobbles is a Kitten who has neurological damage caused from being a survivor of Panleukopenia (Feline Parvo). Her condition is permanent but we won't let it limit her.

LOOKING FOR A FOSTER CARER- URGENT ⏰️
He's doing really well.
He might need to visit a specialist for a skin graft because the skin covering the eye socket part of his skull has died off due to the severe trauma to the skin tissue.
We will know in a few days if this is necessary.
Meanwhile, Scarface decided that being Feral was not for him anymore... he wants to be a Smoochy Boy 😻 Typical of every single Tom Cat we have ever rescued from the street... deep down they are big sooky boys craving love from humans.

We need donations to help us fund this little boys surgery. We have named him 'Scarface'.
Scarface is a young adult male stray cat.
He was hit by a Car many weeks ago and we have been actively trying to trap him the entire time so we can get him to a Vet.
During this time we were adding a broad spectrum antibiotic to his tasty wet food each night to assist in killing any bacterial infection the wound may have developed. This seems to have worked a treat, thank goodness.
He is having a sleep over at the Clinic tonight and will be properly examined in the morning to establish what his surgical needs are.

This little Angel was born to a mother who became infected with Panleukopenia (Feline Parvo).
As a result, she suffered permanent neurological damage which causes her to be wobbly.

I'm a single guy who was doing it really tough.
My family and I were living in some bushes in a car park of a childcare centre. (This photo was taken once I was rescued and receiving treatment).
It's very lucky we were trapped by GAKAH Rescue because we were all suffering Flu and some of us had some serious fight injuries.
I'm wondering if you might have a room at your place where I can stay while I get better and have all my Vet work completed.
I'm a seriously SWEET & SMOOCHY guy... you'll love me. I love belly scratches and my flu symptoms are all gone now... I'm feeling great & looking very handsome.

Why we need FOSTER HOMES URGENTLY for our rescued Kitty Cats ⬇️
Our rescued cats are kept at 1 of our isolation shelter/facilities when they are first rescued and awaiting their vet work and a foster home.
While at the shelter they can be very frightened and can become ill and depressed. Extended stays in the shelter can cause their behaviour to change... they might start pulling their fur out and their joints might stiffen up from lack of movement.
For this reason, we always try to get our rescue kittys into foster homes as quickly as possible.
A shelter environment is not a great place for an animal to be in. We volunteer all our time to be with the Kittys and offer as much enrichment as possible.
Unfortunately due to infection control protocols, we can't allow the cats to roam free and interact together outside of their cage. This would not be responsible and would create an unsafe environment for the kittys.
We try to keep the kittys entertained by often sitting with them and leaving their cage doors open while we brush their fur, play with them and enjoy some cuddle time... though this is alot of fun for them at the time... each Kitty only gets 5 -10 minutes of this time each day, which doesn't compare to being free to roam in a home environment.
Please, if you are able to Foster 1 or 2 Kitty Cats in your home 🏡 contact us today 😻
We have closed our intake, meaning we can't rescue any more Kittys until we have found foster homes for the 40 Kittys at our shelter holding facilities. We are absolutely OVERY CAPACITY!!!
