Why do cat owners continue to let their cats get pregnant, dote over the newborns then decide after 3 or 4 weeks they’ve had enough and EXPECT a rescue to take them and deal with it?

It simply intrigues me and infuriates me. We, as a rescue, have to jump through hoops, cross our t’s and dot our i’s and still have to do extra s**t that only benefits “no-one,” whilst you get to yell at me because I have the audacity to ask “are you desexing mum?”

We must vet check, vaccinate, microchip, desex, flea, worm at a minimum before we can let them out for adoption and you, don’t even have to have a vet check!! 🤬

We must put source codes and microchip numbers and details about our babies. You put free to good (never good) home. And you yell because i state you “can’t advertise without a source code or mc #” Your response “yeah i can”.

You are now the 3rd phone call this afternoon about your cat having kittens and you wanting them gone!! You are the 3rd person to decide that im a bitch because ive called you out. You are the 3rd person to show me that you are no different from 95% of pet owners out there that think they are entitled to treat their pet like crap, not take any responsibility and expect rescue to clean up your mess.

Owner surrenders are my pet hate in rescue. I have absolutely no doubt there are genuine people out there that need to rehome their pets. Ive never met one that has told me the truth yet.

When asked why??? And you say “because” well lovely im gonna get a tone in my voice because you are irritating me!!

Just for once, why cant someone be honest!!!
“I dont want the cat” “my social life is more important” “i cant afford my nails & cat food” “im to lazy to clean up after them” “i dont want to look after a cat, i just want a cat” “my kid is allergic” “my landlord said no” “im moving” blah blah blah.

We here this EVERYDAY!!! And, 3rd phone call today, you got the s**ts because i asked you to drop off the kittens. “I cant, im going out” FFS. You didnt appreciate my tone. And!!!! I dont appreciate the continual problems YOU are creating for me and the thousands of sleep deprived, heartbroken, overworked, broke, exhausted rescuers and rescues fixing your entitled little arses mistakes …

Desex your bloody cat love. Plenty of cheap and cheaper desexing around. Last litter programs on offer. The age of entitlement needs to end.. You may be free to choose whatever you want to do but sweetheart, you are NOT free from the consequences of that choice.. 🫩🤬

Grow up. Get your cat to a vet and get her checked and desexed. And as this is the 4th time in 3 years you have rang my rescue to take your cats, dont you think you should start listening to someone other than yourself !!!
Please do not call my rescue again. I cant be bothered with your s**t and your lies.

I simply cannot get over people of today . Very amusing afternoon. I must admit i needed that laugh so thank you. I wont lose any sleep though…. 🥱🫣🥺🤔🫨😵‍💫🙀

Do you have a spare room, a spare floor, a spare heart to help some kitties PLEASE!

We desperately need carers to save 4 beautiful kitties from a certain death!

If you can help out even for a week or 2 please message me.

We can help with food and litter. You won’t pay any vet bills or anything. Cats are all friendly and litter trained.

Please help. This is urgent for these 4. They will need to go to separate homes or as 2 per carer.
