It’s with a heavy heart I announce the indefinite closure of my business.
This business was opened in hard times with the loving and unconditional support of my husband and we gave it all we had!
However after numerous lockdowns I struggled. I then fell pregnant with my amazing daughter which changed the ball game yet again.
I had plans to reopen, but sadly it just hasn’t worked out.
So I’ve made the tough decision to close my doors.

However,
I am not disappearing!
I am suggesting all my clients book in with Liz at Red Cliffs Dog Grooming. As you may just see my face at her salon in times to come.

I want to say a huge Thank You, to all of my amazing clients and their fur babies for their support.

So with this I say goodbye from Doggy Style for now. But it won’t be forever so watch this space.

With only 3 months to go before the arrival of my little bundle of joy, I’ve had to make the decision to temporarily close off my books to new clients. With each day that passes it becomes harder for me to perform my duties, and what makes that even more difficult is not knowing your dog, and their temperaments.
If you are seeking someone to groom your pooch, I highly recommend Red Cliffs Dog Grooming which is owned by the amazing Liz who has 30+ years experience in the industry.

We’re back this week!
I want to thank you all for patience and understanding as we welcomed 2022 with a bang!
We’ve moved locations and Covid has also thrown us through the ringer.
But I’m back this week and can’t wait to see you and all your fur babies.

Big news, Doggy Style Grooming by Bel will be relocating. I have put all important info below in dot points.
- Relocating to Mildura!
- Address will be given upon booking or sent to existing clients with upcoming appointments.
- Located in Terry Court, Mildura.
- I will be in touch with all clients with upcoming appointments this move will effect, however if you don’t hear from me, your appointment will go ahead at my Red Cliffs Salon.
- Will be returning to a “drop off” and “pick up” system at the entrance of the property. Sadly I won’t be able to have a customer facing salon but your fur babies will still receive the same level of service they’ve come to love.
- If you aren’t able to travel to Mildura and would rather your services remain in Red Cliffs. I can recommend you reach out to Liz at Red Cliffs Dog Grooming. Can’t recommend her enough.

Tomorrow will be my last day for the year, and as I am sure I will be swept up in the business I wanted to stop and say Merry Christmas!
It’s been an amazing year as I opened this business and watched it thrive it wasn’t without its highs and lows thanks to Covid!
However I couldn’t have done it without any of you and your amazing dogs.
I will be finishing up tomorrow at 2pm and returning on January 6th.
I will still be responding to enquiries, however it may take me a few days to get back to you.

It’s going to be a scorcher here in Mildura.
With that comes my duty of care to myself and your animals.
I will be messaging some of you to look at rescheduling your appointment times to earlier in the day and later in the evenings.
Even with the appropriate cooling equipment it still gets warm in my grooming shed on scorching hot days.

I don’t like having to be firm, but sadly as of late I have had a lot of “No Shows”.
This business is my life and I have no other source of income. This year has been extremely rough with all of the Covid Lockdowns, so every one of your appointments count.
I use an amazing system which sends you automated messages.
48 hours before your appointment you will be asked to confirm your appointment, please do so. This lets me know on my end you’re still coming.
24 hours before you will receive another reminder, this is for your convenience.
If the appointment hasn’t been confirmed 2 hours after that last reminder text is sent, I will be cancelling your appointment.
I do this because this allows me to try and fill that precious spot.
I sadly don’t have the luxury of leaving it and hoping you will just show up. I also don’t have the time to be texting and calling you all to chase up these confirmations as I am likely with other dogs.
I get things happen, and life can be messy, so if you cannot attend a booked appointment for whatever reason, no matter how close to the appointment just let me know. I don’t bite.
I do hope you all understand.

𝓙𝓾𝓼𝓽 𝓐 𝓛𝓲𝓽𝓽𝓵𝓮 𝓢𝓸𝓶𝓮𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓣𝓸 𝓡𝓮𝓶𝓮𝓶𝓫𝓮𝓻
I get when things don’t go to plan, frustrations can kick in. But I please ask that you think outside of your bubble before you let those frustrations take over.
I have said this before, I am a one women team. I work tirelessly to make sure I can see as many of you and get back to as many of you in as short a time possible. But sometimes things can go wrong.
I can become unwell, or unforeseen circumstances can occur. I don’t have anyone else to fall back on in those instances so I’m left to problem solve alone. This can mean sometimes it takes me longer to get back to you, or I have to postpone or jiggle appointments around. COVID and all it’s lockdowns certainly didn’t help with this, along with the threats of fines looming over our heads if we stepped out of line. I understand this can throw your plans and your time around and I am sorry.
But I will always try my best, and that’s just it. I don’t have unlimited resources and time, I’m not super human. But I will always do my best.
I have some incredible clients who come through my salon doors every month, and I am grateful to you all for your patience, understanding and for making my dream a reality.

The salon is undergoing some technical difficulties. Due to the crazy little tail end of the storm Red Cliffs endured last night, there is currently no power going to my little grooming shed.
I am doing everything I can to rectify this ASAP. I have reached out to those effected for their appointments this morning, I will reach out to the rest of today’s appointments if need be also, keep an eye on your phones.
Please be patient with me, it’s been a rough few months and I am only human dealing with a lot on my plate!

Sadly today my family and I had to say goodbye to our beautiful boy Buddy.
He went peacefully after a bit of a struggle with some declining health issues.
Also starting Saturday afternoon I am taking a week off for a bit of a long awaited family vacay. I will not be replying to any enquiries until I arrive back on Monday the 22nd of November. I need to relax, unwind, grieve and refresh.

There’s some exciting news brewing in the Doggy Style Grooming shed.
It may now make a little more sense as to why I’ve been a bit unwell.
Baby Hamilton is due early June 2022.
For now it is business as usual, however I may have to cut down month by month.
The plan is to start my maternity leave the long weekend of Easter. But watch this space.

SARG does some wonderful work in our community and they re-home many lost, abandoned and surrendered animals every year.
This Christmas I want to say thank you.
So from now until Dec 25th I will be have some Christmas Baubles available.
It will be $5 per bauble, you can write your pets name and your name and hang it upon the Doggy Style Christmas tree in the salon.
ALL proceeds will be going to SARG in a lump sum donated on Dec 25th.
So feel free to shoot me a message, or come in salon if you wish to donate!

Hey all!
Hopefully moving forward all lockdowns are behind us! As I’m sure you can understand they pose a challenge for myself with constant cancellations and re-bookings. I manage all of your enquiries and groom your pooches I am a one woman team and as thorough and as attentive as I am, with my list checking, I am sure some things have slipped through the cracks. I am only human. I have been dealing with some health changes of late also, just to add the cherry on top!
That being said if you have NOT heard from me yet in regards to any enquiries for NOVEMBER/DECEMBER. Please message me through messenger, or text. You are more than welcome to call but I can’t always answer due to being with other pooches in a loud environment.

Hey guys,
I will be sending this out to everyone booked in over the next 7 days as well as posting here.

So as I’m sure you’re aware Mildura has gone into a 7 day SNAP LOCKDOWN!
Grooming is able to operate but only for Welfare Grooms.
For the safety of myself and all of you, I will be cancelling all appointments unless your fur baby falls into the following criteria;

- Dog is presenting living with significant matting that limits their mobility due to Matt’s pulling on skin.
- Dog has excess matting around the sanitary areas that may cause the animal to be unable to toilet properly.
- Where a dog has matting around the ears, eyes and paws that can cause infections. Due to dirt build up - matting can also hide more serious issues such as grass seeds embedded in the skin.
- Where a dog has overgrown nails - this may mean the nails push back into the nail bed and makes walking uncomfortable. Nails tend to curl around and then push back into the skin.

Sadly scruffy, dirty and a little bit untidy do not classify as matting and therefore do not come under a welfare groom.

All welfare grooms needing to go ahead must adhere to my contactless drop off procedure. This will be sent to you via text upon confirming your appointment.

Also the 10KM rule must be adhered to, so sadly if you do reside more than 10KM away from my salon in Red Cliffs, you are not permitted to attend.

If you believe your fur baby falls into one of the “welfare” categories please let me know and we will see what can be arranged.
I will be reaching out to those with bookings over the next 7 days that aren’t classified as welfare, towards the end of next week when re-opening is confirmed to re-book your appointments.
