We took last weekend off from shows to get some work done around the house and have a much needed rest. Sir Arthur “helped” in the garden.

Fantastic weekend away at Morwell/Traralgon shows!

⭐️Sir Arthur⭐️ Ch Whimsily Venetian Heist at Setatrend picked up another PUPPY IN GROUP! This is his 12th class in group (1 which became class in show), he is doing myself, & his breeders proud. Thank you to judge James Beckett of the NT for recognising the quality of my boy ❤️

Wookie (Fireplay Circe) came along and had a go at neuter, but she was not a fan. But that’s ok! She can continue staying home with the rest of the family as she’s much happier that way.

Yesterday at the Victorian Gundog Club’s annual show under New Zealand judge John Stanton.

⭐️Sir Arthur⭐️ Ch* Whimsily Venetian Heist at Setatrend was awarded Dog Challenge and Puppy of Breed. Bred by Gemma Sheehy.

⭐️Ellie May⭐️ Tintookie Hot Like Me (AI) the Irish Red & White was awarded her first Challenge and Best of Breed at her first show out of baby! Ellie May is bred, owned and loved by Lee & Ray Parker

Wow! I got to go see all the show yesterday! And mum said it was excellent training for my public access work too! Mum has a video she said she’ll post.
I went to look at the rides, and the vintage machinery (that was pretty cool!) before we went back to do breed advocate work while we waited to go in for Puppy in Show. After that was finished, mum packed the car and off we went to go look around properly!
I got to see the Wood Chop (I don’t think Grandpaw could do that), and I met a very big Clydesdale, he was enjoying all the attention of the people. We went and watched some cattle judging, and some horses too.
I found the birds mum. They’re right there! Can’t you see them!!
I want a digger! We should totally get one!
Time for a nap on the ferry home!!

Big day out at Melbourne Royal today 😴 Sir Arthur showed really well, and was a happy boy going around with the crowds! No spectacular wins for us today, but that’s ok!

The highlight of my day was when Arthur got to help a little girl, 3 or 4 years old I would guess, who has always been scared of dogs overcome her fear and give him a pat and a cuddle ❤️ her mum was so proud of her, and it was just a heartwarming little moment between a little girl and a dog.

Arthur was a fantastic breed advocate throughout the day, receiving pats and cuddles from lots of adoring public, he even dolled out kisses to many.

A very long day but all in all a good one! Thrilled with how my boy handled such a massive day, by the end he was ready to go, and snored most of the way home!

“You’re not Gladstone!” Is how Mitch greeted Arthur at rehearsals last night. Mitch was the Sherlock to my Mr Darcy’s Gladstone in the Rosebud Theatre Group Inc’s 2023 production of Sherlock Holmes.

Sir Arthur is helping heal more hearts than just my own.

Today, at just 8 months old with another Best of Breed, Sir Arthur gained his final points and can now be known as Ch Whimsily Venetian Heist at Setatrend!

Thank you to all the judges for awarding this boy! And thank you to his breeder Gemma Whimsily English Setters for trusting me with this boy ❤️

WOW! What a Weekend!!!
Sir Arthur and I (and a couple of tag along) head to the Bairnsdale & East Gippsland cluster.

First off, a huge thank you to our friends at Scratch & Sniffs Grooming in Bairnsdale for putting us up in style for the weekend ❤️❤️ if you’re local to the area, see them for all your grooming needs!
