Shadow has turned a huge corner & the penny has dropped. Very proud of this boy with how far he has come.
The pro's to consistent reinforcement of rules.

Socialising was the main focus, and he was on his best behaviour and had his listening ears on.
We also went for a walk, and he did an awesome job. Came across a dog that he would always fixate on and react to now ignoring him. Even some barking dogs, he was much more relaxed.
We also had the surprise of 2 off lead dogs approach him. After a little outburst, Dad handled things great, controlled him, and helped him settle very quickly whilst we sorted out the offlead dogs.

Great work, team!

Biggie got to work more on his inside manners.
Door knocking & door bell scenarios.
We then taught him heeling where this time, Milo, was the distraction. Biggie & Mum did awesome learning this one.
Biggie totally ignored Milo and focused on the job at hand before finishing up with a nice free walk along the streets.

We are taking things slowly with distractions for this big boy because 'Rome wasn't built in a day'.

Great work, team!

Theo & Lizzy are back into the swing of things with their training. After their handlers had a nice little holiday, we were able to pick up from where we left off.
Both have been working on some new exercises and doing well.
So well, they showed their skills on flat collar, and it won't be long before they show their skills off lead consistently.

We finished off with some socialising. Listening skills are still a work in progress, especially when a ball is involved as they have a big obsession with it, so some new homework has been set.

Ted and Mabel are responding really well to the training but have lots of challenges ahead.
We upped the ante with distraction on their drop step-away by teaching to recall the other one.
Then the pair got to work on their loose lead walking. Plenty of work ahead of them, but they are already starting to show signs of respecting their handlers more.

Great work, team!

The furs enjoyed a lunch outing with the humans as well as a spontaneous visit to the beach to burn off some energy and cool off.

Such good dogs, relaxing in their drops even with lots going on around them.
The pro's to having obedient, well-mannered dogs are that they get to go on more adventures and create more memories. πŸΎπŸ’œπŸΎ

Happy Gotcha Day, Ryker. πŸΎπŸ’œπŸΎ

4 yrs ago, when the world got crazy, you joined the pack. What a spontaneous decision that was and the best decision made.
Always the clown , who loves & gives a good cuddle, super chilled (sometimes a little too much), and totally living the dream.

Love ya, mate! πŸ’œ

It is all coming together for Caesar. 😁
This boy originally refused to drop on command, and after working him through it and having some rules and structure in place, he is now doing it on the first command.

He held a drop step away regardless of distractions and was very relaxed having Milo close by all under his owners guidance.
Boundaries are very rock solid, which was great to see, and after fine-tuning his behaviour with the doorbell, he got some offlead time with Milo and was on his best behaviour.

Caesar finished off with a nice walk. Lots of distractions out and about, and he walked like a dream. No pulling and no cutting off.
The relationship is getting stronger, and more respect is being shown.

Great work, team!

Zeus is listening really well to dads tones, so we upt the ante during our session.
First, we added heeling to his list of jobs. He was not a big fan of this at the beginning, but he quickly pulled his head in and did what was asked once he learned what is expected.
We also got to work on his socialising. First, on-lead to switch those ears on, then off-lead.
Ace , his brother from another mother, joined in. Zeus can be at times in his face and somewhat annoying. The boys did Welland the humans worked together as a team to help them make the right choices.
The next test was adding Ryker. Once he finished trying to fit in the bucket of water, it was playtime. Zeus did really well overall.
Yes, he made a few mistakes and was a little over the top at times but how else are they going to learn and that he did.

Great work, team!

Shadow is doing well with his obedience, so we have started the slow transition to collar and overall did a fantastic job.
Being a very strong dog, heeling was a little challenging but did have some good bursts.
We set off to do some more work on his free loose lead walking mainly around more distractions as fixation is still a work in progress, so the training halter is still in use for greater control..
He got challenged taking him places where before would be a nightmare to walk, such as along a main road and did a great job.
Even stopping along the way to have a friendly sniff of Ryker.

Great work, team!

During Galtee's recent stay, not only did she have a great time, but she also got to learn a few new things. The "stand" & "check" command.

Our session focused on teaching her handlers the new things that she has learnt. We also fine-tuned the off lead recall before Galtee's brother from another mother joined in.

Frankie, who has done lots of training and has grown up to be a great dog, was included for a little socialising as these 2 quite often hang out, and both are full of energy.

Great work, team!

Biggie is starting to change his old ways. 😁
Already showing signs of being more relaxed upon arrival under Mums guidance as well as when he sees people & dogs walking past the home.
Mum introduced a kitchen boundary on her own accord since our last visit, and it's looking good.
We taught Biggie the drop command. With his size and strength, We were ready for anything, but he was very compliant. Even holding a long drop under distraction.
We couldn't make this boy make some honest mistakes. He was so good. Even having Ryker make an appearance considering the last time Ryker had to stay out of the picture.
He & Mum got to work on some loose lead walking and work on his unwanted fixation towards dogs.
Focusing on critical distance to start off with, Mum did a great job guiding Biggie. At one point, I was even walking right behind them.

Great work, team!

Welcome Ted & Mabel.
These 2 cuties don't have an off switch. They need to learn to relax more and listen more, especially when it comes to offlead as socialising can be an issue, so we have started things on lead.

Some language was introduced to them, and they are off to a great start. They know their obedience, so we worked on some impulse control through their stay exercises.
They even got to learn not to barge through the back door until invited.

Great work, team!

The seniors, Hendricks, Milo & myself, had some quality time together.
A nice little outing, and then the sprinklers came on.
I won't lie....we all turned into that little kid finding a puddle and jumping in it. Lol.

The boys are living the dream. πŸΎπŸ’œπŸΎ

Caeser got to work on his manners in the home.
We introduced some boundaries. The back door where he now needs to refer to his owners for an invite into THEIR home and kitchen boundary, which is off limits for safety reasons. We also worked on his jumping on the couch. He picked this up quickly. :)
Barking & attacking the TV has improved dramatically, so we worked more on the dreaded doorbell, which has been a big trigger.
Caeser gave some drops on first command before he spent some time with Ryker offlead.
It's amazing to see a dog change their ways once some rules and structure are in place. 😁

Great work, team!
