There's few things more satisfying than watching a horse change shape and coat colour - and no, there's not a filter on either picture!
Beetle came from a friend of mine and he was in overall good condition - a little bit bleached from being turned out in a herd without a rug and just a generally gangly baby TB.
He's had 5 weeks of work here, nothing too hectic - though I did take him to a jump club 10 days after he arrived (and he was perfect!) but he's really starting to develop nicely.
He's fed on Pryde's EasiFeed Easi Keeper and chaff, with Kelato Animal Health GastroAid Everyday and KelatoLyte - nothing complicated or too concentrated.
He's also the nicest personality, cuddly and sweet - his only vice is he likes to remove his rugs with his teeth! 😆

I put my two retired brown 5* ponies out together today so now I’ve got a spare paddock for a full care agister.
The farm is located 5 minutes from Moss Vale, 8 minutes from Bowral.

🦄Excellent pasture that is picked up, harrowed, sprayed, fertilised and mulch mowed all year round to maintain quality.
🦄 Twice daily feeding, rugging, fly masks, boots on/off as required.
🦄60 x 25m dressage arena that has good drainage.
🦄 SJ fences built and changed regularly for variety in schooling.
🦄Cross country paddock with safe, professionally built fences that is continuing to be developed.
🦄Safe, fully fenced, 2km laneway around the property for hacking out.

This is Ollie.
Ollie is affectionately referred to as the Baby Dino 🦕 and he is an excellent example of how a balanced nutrition program allows a horse to do their job, develop muscle and not go off their brains on high octane feed.

We muck out our paddocks daily - unless a horse is really upset by the kubota - and it is quite informative.
Not only does it mean you constantly check fences, troughs and for any holes or fallen branches, it gives you a really good idea of how your horses health is and also means we aren’t leaving harrowed manure sitting on top of the ground if it doesn’t rain. 
Doesn’t mean it’s my favourite job but it’s useful!
And also a huge shout out to White's Tractors Pty Ltd who keep our Kubota running despite the constant hammering it gets.

I rate our Canberra weekend as a solid 8/10
🌶️👑 Olivia said no thank you very much to any real cooperation in the dressage which is not at all like her. Further investigation would lead me to suspect she’s tweaked a glute muscle. So she didn’t jump but is bright and happy at home so we can sort that out.
🥒🦘 Q did a very pleasant rendition of the 2* test and we were all a bit disappointed with the score but that’s life. I was happy with his SJ for how often I’ve not ridden him in the ring and even happier with his clear XC that was a bit faster than my usual (aware I’m a nana, but working on it). He gives me all the feels 💕
🦖 Ollie the baby Dino and I actually got to an 80 together and he was a very good boy. Despite not being a huge fan of crowded warm ups he really held it together pretty well and jumped all the things XC. Thanks Sam Woods for deputising for me when I was broken and getting him going so well.

The yard has been a transformation from an old cow shed, now encompassing stables, a large tackroom, gear lockers for clients, rug room, tie-ups and wash bay.
