Today, we had the delightful opportunity to work with Angel, a maltipoo who had gone without grooming for over four years due to her temperament, history of biting, and difficulty remaining still. Despite these challenges, we were able to revitalize her appearance. Through careful observation and interaction, we recognized that her anxiety stemmed from unfamiliarity with gentle handling; she simply needed reassurance that our intentions were benign. Regrettably, many groomers prioritize profit over understanding a dog's behavior.
At our establishment, we take a different approach. We incorporate training into our grooming sessions, helping dogs like Angel realize that grooming can be a pleasant experience. We firmly believe in our ability to teach dogs to relax during grooming, akin to teaching them basic commands like sitting or staying. We extend a warm welcome to all dogs, regardless of temperament, recognizing that there are no inherently bad dogs, only those who have been misunderstood or mishandled.
Thanks to Angel's visit, she now radiates her true beauty once again. We appreciate the opportunity to work with her and eagerly anticipate her next appointment!
