and somehow, I will be with you still;
and I shall know, although I'm gone,
the love I gave you lingers on.

This may be one of the most difficult posts I'll ever write.

Our beautiful old boy Bailey has developed an aggressive and incurable oral cancer and he is deteriorating rapidly. Although he is still bright and eating (and trying to escape to go on one of his adventures every chance he gets), we have made the impossible decision to give him his wings. For those of you that know us, you know that our hearts and souls are breaking wide open.

Bailey has been the life of Animals Vet Services for 14 years. He has been a widely recognised and loved presence in the community; From his wanderings everywhere from the Cafe, to the bank, to the council offices, to his many trips to the local schools to teach our kids about the magic of pet ownership.

He has been a once in a lifetime cat and we are so incredibly grateful and honoured that we were able to share his extraordinary life.

We will be saying goodbye to him privately on Thursday afternoon but would like to invite anyone that would like to say their goodbyes, to visit him over the next two days to do so. He always loved everyone and loved being the centre of attention.

We would like to thank the community for embracing him and loving him as you have for so long.

Home needed urgently. Female spayed purebred Rottweiler. 18 months old. Good with kids and other dogs. Good with cattle and horses. Not so good with goats or sheep.
