Roses are red, violets are blue… is your pet’s heartworm prevention due? ❤️🐾 This Valentine’s Day, let’s talk about protecting your furry Valentine from heartworm disease.

In this video, we’re looking at microfilaria—baby heartworms—wriggling in a blood sample under the microscope. This is one way we diagnose heartworm, but since not all infected pets have microfilaria in their blood, we first use a snaptest to detect adult heartworms.

Did you know that matted fur isn’t just uncomfortable—it can lead to serious health issues for your pet? Mats can trap moisture, dirt, and even parasites, causing skin infections and painful sores.

This sweet Border Collie needed a trim to stay comfortable and healthy!

Regular brushing and grooming are key to preventing matting, especially for long-haired breeds in warm weather. ✂️🐶

If your pet is registered with them, their details will not appear in the system if their microchip is scanned, therefore you may not be contacted if your pet goes missing.

To check where your pet’s microchip is registered, please visit www.petaddress.com.au.

If you find that your pet is registered with Homesafe ID, you can transfer their registration to Global Micro for FREE, by filling out a dedicated registration form we can provide and submitting it to [email protected]

If you need assistance locating your pet’s microchip number or have any questions, feel free to contact the clinic, we’re happy to help!

Vet nurse Lisa has been with our clinic-family for an amazing 23 years! With her extensive knowledge and experience, she is a rock-solid part of our team. She's cared for thousands pets with confidence and compassion, making a difference in the lives of both animals and owners. ❤️

Lisa is much more than an amazing nurse - she is the one that will step up, organising and making things happen. Need something? Lisa is on it, or she knows a guy to help you along! She is always generous with her time when it comes to animals, colleagues or our clients.

She is dedicated not only to our wonderful profession, but to her family and pack of animals at home.🐕 Whether it's breeding quality dogs, caring for horses or cuddling the odd alpaca. 🦙 She is a passionate animal lover through and through.

She is not one for the social media spotlight, but we couldn't let her incredible dedication go unnoticed ❤️

✨️Bea the Monkeydog!🐵

Meet the Affenpinscher – small in size but full of personality! The name is derived from the German word "Affe", which means "monkey"!
These little 'monkey dogs' are known for their playful, mischievous nature and adorable expressions. Whether they're striking a pose, zooming around with endless energy, or snuggling up for cuddles, Affenpinschers always bring a smile.

These little dogs were bred to chase rats from kitchens, but nowadays they're more likely to steal your heart than a rodent!

✨️ Look at those ears! 🐕

This adorable German Shepherd X pup has one floppy ear! If you've ever wondered why some Shepherd puppies have floppy ears, don't worry—it's completely normal!

As they grow, their ear cartilage strengthens, and most will stand upright between 4 to 6 months of age. Some take a little longer, and occasionally, one ear stands up before the other (just like Jet here!)

Enjoy the floppy stage while it lasts—it’s part of their puppy charm! 💛🐾
