Shaneca Soft Coated Wheatens I believe that my Wheatens are bred to an excellent standard and will give you and your family a lifetime of satisfaction and happiness with your furry friend.

My aim as a breeder is to breed happy, healthy Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers, whether they are to be a cuddly family pet, champion show dog or a blue ribbon winner in dog sports (or even all of the above). My Wheatens are pets that are best suited for families who will love and cherish them, considering their Wheaten to be an important family member. Each Wheaten is health tested by qualified veter

inarians and possess an outgoing, fun loving temperament. With 3 current SCWTs actively competing in shows they also enjoy participating in competitive and recreational dog sports such as Agility, Obedience & Herding. They have also been companion/therapy dogs for the sick and elderly, tv stars, performed on stage at pet expos, photo models for advertising and most of all, loving family pets. As I believe in ensuring new Wheaten owners are well-prepared when they adopt their puppy, all new puppy owners receive a well-socialized puppy and a bonus ‘puppy pack’ to start them off on their journey to their new homes with their loving new friend.

Successful weekend for the youngsters..

On Saturday Indy went runner up best of breed to Cali then on to minor in group!

Sunday Cassie was Best of Breed (Cali stayed home) and baby Milo went on to Baby in Group!

So many incredible comments on how lovely these babies are, we are so blessed to have them!

Plus both Indy & Cassidy made it in to yesterdays Herald Sun!

We also said goodbye to Freddy from one of the litters we raised for Larnook kennels. Freddy was much loved over in his home in South Australia for 11 years and will be missed greatly

Sadly we said goodbye to another of our OG puppies…

Beautiful Raphael from our Mother’s Day litter 12 1/2 years ago has gone to join his brothers Murphy & Ned and sister Stella over rainbow bridge.

Beautiful Raphael was one of the sweetest and biggest we have bred and despite lasting less than a week at his first home he soon fell on his feet with the most amazing family that loved him for those 12 1/2 years.

Indy so far has 6 baby in groups and 1 baby in show award.

Indy is such a sweet, easy girl to live with and such a fun girl to show.

Cassidy collected another runner up neuter in group with her just coming for some fun now she is almost 11

Cali - Ch Shaneca Any Dream Will Do wins intermediate in group and on to intermediate in show!!

Indy - Shaneca Practically Perfect wins her first baby in group ribbon! This was only her 3rd show so we are super excited to see what the future holds

4 of our wheatens were used in grooming competitions over the weekend…

Teddy (Fagan x Cassidy) was used in the salon class in a cute teddy trim with groomer Lauren from Fetching Grooms

Keevan (Ned x Cassidy) was in the purebred traditional class with groomer Clare from K9 Makeovers Dog Grooming

Lia (Ollie x Ciara) was a replacement for groomer Renee from Fetching Grooms in the fusion class (where you can have some fun with styles). Lia recently had surgery so had one boot and 3 flares so Renee did a great job fixing that!

Then Dudley (Shanty x Cassidy) was also in the fusion class with groomer Lauren from Fetching Grooms rocking his super cute trim! Dudley may not have the ideal coat to show but he makes a fabulous dog for grooming competitions.

Congratulations to all groomers involved!!

WEATHER PERMITTING!! Saturday 7th December Jells Park, Wheelers Hill 12.30pm-3.30pm Join us for a get together with all our Shaneca family and friends. Bring a plate to share and come for a fun day out This event is on lead only!

Dinner time!

Our first full day outside is today! The pups are staying outside all day today, with the weather meant to be not too wet the decision was to leave them out for the day. Tomorrow will be a wet day timetable (which they hate as they have nowhere near this space) but hopefully they can start spending more time out as the days go on

The pups met their ‘step mum’ today.. Clara the havanese helps teach the pups to be outgoing around other dogs..Clara helped socialise Ginny’s last litter when Ginny went home to her family.

Our first go at solid food…they are interested but not quite sure yet (and Ginny has them so well fed they aren’t hungry yet)

Good morning from the puppies!! Not too much longer till they are ready for visitors, only a few more weeks!

On another note.. Happy 1st Birthday to the Dubhlainn x Aine pups!! So thankful you all found amazing homes ❤️

Inba & Holly had the best time playing together. These two are littermates so love having the chance to play together

Reunited… Inba from our Watson x Ginny litter got to see his sister again today and they hit it off like they never left!

Safe to say Ginny’s puppies are pretty bombproof 😂
