Last night at the Port Stephens Examiner Business Awards, we were surrounded by incredible local businesses, and I am thrilled to share that we won the Outstanding Business Award in the Tourism and Accommodation category. And then, much like the Logies, we went on to win the GOLD! I was so overwhelmed that I could barely breathe, let alone put words together. Now that I've had a moment to gather my thoughts, here's what I wanted to say:

Two years ago, I called my brother and told him I needed to get this ferry up and running. With his guidance, I learned the ropes, and today, I feel just as at home in the engine room as I do on deck, chatting with our passengers. It has been a steep learning curve, but what an incredible two years it has been! None of this would have been possible without the support of my amazing crew and extended team.

As a tourism operation, it’s an honor to showcase our beautiful waterways to visitors. But we also have a special place in our hearts for our locals—we encourage you to hop aboard and rediscover the blue water paradise we call home. Hand on heart, I truly love what I do 🙏

It breaks my heart to see everyday on Facebook, so many dogs being separated from their family because they have wandered off following their noses, to find they cannot find their way back.
This is a trauma for both the dog and the owner when this happens.
Enter the silent silicone tag.
Designed very simply to be put onto the dog's existing collar.
With no app or battery needed this is the best we could find.
Simply fill in your dog's page with information that someone would need if they find your dog. Put in your email and save.
If your dog does go missing, whoever finds them can just scan the QR code on the tag which will in turn send you a pinpointed map as to where your dog has been located.
It couldn't be easier.
The tags are currently being sold here at David Bones in Cascade Walk at Nelson Bay as well as down at the waterfront at the Dolphin and Whale Watch booking office and at the Charli Blu Collective in the Cinema Arcade in Nelson Bay.

Who doesnt love a good trivia quiz?

From Monday 12th, we are going to be sharing daily quizzes about you guessed it - Pooches.
Whether you have the tiniest of chihuahuas or the largest of great danes we will have something for you to test your knowledge on.

Well Christmas in July is now finished at David Bones for pets and we had a lot of fun with dress ups and photos.
