If I just keep busy, today will pass quicker, right?

Other than Xmas, the 26th of August is probably my least favourite day of the year.
8 years for my father, and 4 years for Mango.
Chewie also passed on the 26th, but not in August.

Sorry Mango fans.
Passed peacefully without pain at around 6:30 - 7am this morning.
Burried in the backyard of the Nimbin H**P Embassy at 2pm.
Mango was a pure Pomeranian.
His parents (both long passed) were Toby and Bonnie who were both fair haired (like Mango) & extremely happy, friendly very well mannered fluffballs, slightly smaller than Mango. He inherited all their good traits but a little bit larger. He passed the tiny gene onto his 1.6 kg son, Chewie and their are many other little offspring that Mango fathered. Mango had a life long partner in Missy who along with many close Nimbin friends and family attended the funeral.

Mango was born on the 10th of October 2008, in Lismore but spent most of his life in and around Nimbin.
Mango took to hanging out with David at a very early age as he happened to live in the house he was born in. Bear was very young and already Dave's and Missy came onto the scene soon after at less than a year old (there's just over six months between Mango, Missy and Bear).

Mango met his end quite fast. He had a condition that causes his immune system to attack his red blood cells, causing a lack in oxygen and major lethargy. He simply went to sleep and didn't wake up. The Doctor assured that their was absolutely no pain or suffering.

There will be a bunch of shared photos and videos to celebrate his wonderful life.

Devastating news.
Mango passed away in his sleep this morning.
Last night we were very worried we would need to euthanize him today, but that decision has been taken away from us.
Rest in peace Mango.
You were a great son.
I'll cherish your memories.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone.
The update on Mango is grim. He's critically ill, in no pain. He just wants to sleep. If cortisone, steroids and antibiotics don't improve his condition overnight and if he has further deteriorated. He will be considered palliative. Should this happen, I will either choose to euthanize or do a home palliative care treatment (which just means he would pass at home rather than the hospital) but this all needs doctors consideration, it's just options.
I'm a bit freaked out about loosing my boy. He's nearly 11 and it's going to feel like loosing a son. Doctor said less than 50% chances and that's being optimistic.
Chewie came back from deaths door with less than 10% chance from the same doctor, but he had youth on his side, Mango isn't young but I need to be positive for his sake.
Hang in there my boy.

Tomorrow is the fifth anniversary of my father's passing, so I would prefer to keep it exclusively his.

We were all a bit sleepy this morning.

Today's my birthday!
In human years, I am 10 but in dog years that's 70!
Today I went to Nimbin for the day with David and my son Chewie. I got lots of pats and cuddles then it was home to fresh bones and chicken.
