If anyone needs any gear for their four-legged friends we highly recommend these guys! We used them for all the Yarrabin horses over the years and still use them today! But more to the point… does anyone recognise their newest model? He features in a few of their social media posts so we couldn’t help but share one of them - go check out their page for more (there is one particularly funny one)!

A late but very Merry Christmas 🎄 and Happy New Year 🥳 to you all from all of us here at Yarrabin!

It’s been a big year, as I’m sure many of you also experienced and we can’t quite believe that we are already 4 days in to 2024… what a ride! We have lost some beloved four legged friends this year, but my gosh they gave us so much and the memories shared of each of them brought back so many joyous times. We have also been blessed with a stella group of agistment horses and their owners (you know who you are and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making this job that much easier). We pride ourselves on providing a relaxed, inclusive and friendly community for both horses and humans here and we truly believe that this year that has been achieved more than ever. The weekly riding group is just one of the amazing initiatives these guys have created and we are just so proud to be a part of it. We only have two spots available in a mixed group paddock so get in touch if you’d like more information!

On a more personal note, for those who have been part of the Yarrabin family for many years, the Phillips family have also had a big year collectively! Annie has moved over to the agistment side of the property and absolutely loves waking up surrounded by horses each morning, and her view from up there… wow! She also squeezed in multiple overseas trips including Canada/Alaska and New Zealand. And if she wasn’t already busy enough successfully joined the local rural fire brigade 🔥 Jess married the love of her life, Jonny, up on their property in Cassilis which was a real family affair to pull off! And then spent a lovely week in Fiji for their honeymoon. Harry and his beautiful wife Kate welcomed their second son and are still loving their life up in Armidale. Jack moved back to the southern hemisphere (from England) and has settled in New Zealand for the time being. And to top his year off he proposed to his delightful fiancée Annalise, they are all set for a 2024 wedding! Will and his girlfriend Amber have moved down to a little town just north of Melbourne which they are both absolutely loving! As we said… it’s been a big year! Bring on 2024 💫

First day of spring 🌼 the best time of year in our opinion… rugs come off, shiny coats start to appear, longer days to spend with the ponies, and of course that beautiful spring sunshine ☀️ we have had a pretty mild winter, but nothing beats that extra warmth and vibrancy that radiates out of everything and everyone at this time of the year 🌸

We know our resident ‘oldies’ Patch and Kay-C especially enjoy the warmer weather 💕

🥳 Happy Horses Birthday 🥳

It’s another beautiful winters day here in O’Connell, and the horses are enjoying these spring-like days without their rugs 🎉

All of our group agistment is now FULL. We are so very lucky with the lovely mix of horses at Yarrabin Equine Park. We do have one private paddock available if anyone is interested, these paddocks are smaller and require daily feeding but still have all the necessary features and access to all facilities. Get in touch if you’d like to join our awesome group of agistee’s 💕

💚 PIP 💚
How lucky we were to have so many wonderful years with Miss Pippy Dog. On Wednesday night, peacefully in her sleep, we said our goodbye’s to this beautiful old girl. From chasing pigs to the daily feed runs, Pip loved every minute of farm life. Although technically Harry’s dog, she has been by Annie’s side for the last few years and will be missed by us all.
Rest in peace big girl 💕

🧡🧡 JERRY 🧡🧡
Well they say things come in threes and we truly hope this is the last goodbye we have to have for a while. If you visited Yarrabin in the last 11yrs you would have been smothered in love by our resident ginger snuggler 🥰 Jerry certainly made his way in to the hearts of all who met him. Those endless cuddles, soothing purrs, and the classic ‘Jerry Scarf’ when he perched himself around your neck will forever remind us of this beautiful cat 🐈

Yesterday we said farewell to Jerry. He had given his 9 lives a good run with his regular snoozes in the middle of the horse yards and his close call a few years ago with a snake bite. Yarrabin just won’t be the same without him. Rest in peace 🧡

Prepare the tissues… it has not been an easy week here at Yarrabin. On Friday this beautiful old boy took his last breath 😢 Zambalah has been around for almost as long as the Phillips have owned Yarrabin but his story is even bigger than us. Leah and Zammy shared a bond that most of us dream of, 20 beautiful years together. At just 13yrs old, Leah knew the Zam Man was her forever horse. He was a young and misunderstood 6yr old that hadn’t worked out with any previous owner. But with Leah, he found his person. And didn’t they do some beautiful things together… every weekend she would ride him over from his agistment paddock and join the Yarrabin rides, when life got extra busy (and he got extra fat) he joined the ranks in our mob and soon proved his worth in gold teaching many people how to ride whilst also showing his cheeky side when Leah took him out. Fast forward a few years and he was the trusted steed to walk Leah down the aisle at her wedding, and he was even there to give her daughter the first taste of what I’m sure will be a lifetime of love towards horses!

So many beautiful memories to look back on but losing a love like this is never easy. Everyone here at Yarrabin will miss this special boy very much. We hope him and Tia are up there galloping through the clouds together. RIP Old Zam Man 🩵

What a blessing it was to have the beautiful Tia as part of our family. This mare truly gave her all and yesterday we said our final goodbyes 💕
Jack and Tia did just about everything together, she was his first and only choice, he was her person! Her floaty gait, those little rears when you held her back, her woolly winter coat, the way she never much liked new things and her beautiful kind soul can never be replaced but we will forever have the stories of all the adventures this mare took part in. Rest in peace Tia Maria 🫶🏼

It’s a tough life here on agistment at Yarrabin… This is our semi-retired mixed group enjoying those Sunday morning snoozes 🍂

There are a few spots available in with this crew of legends. They enjoy a large paddock rotation a little further away from the hustle and bustle of horses in full time work, a lovely dam to spend the summer days around, and still have access to all our regular services and facilities! Get in touch today if you have a special 4-legged friend who might enjoy this lifestyle 🩵
