As one doggie door closes , another cat flap swings open .. sounds about right … right ??
So here goes ,
After 11 years , 7 months & 22 days, but who’s counting, I wish to announce that my lil pet food business , South St Pet Supplies has new owners .
It is time for a new chapter in the life of SSPS , for a new mumma & papa with youth , energy , fresh ideas, dreams, goals & bright visions for the future ahead while bringing with them the love & dedication needed to nurture her further .
When I think back over the years gone by , my heart swells, my mind boggles, my eyes leak, my hair has greyed and I shake my head in amazement at all this lil business has given me .
It has truely been an amazing journey of self discovery & belief , damn hard work , problem solving , Tetris skills, and so much more ..
The knowledge I have gained & shared .
Strangers that are now forever friends & family.
Experiences , so many experiences , vast & varied .
Multitudes of beautiful pets & hoomans that I’ve had the privilege getting to know , help , & yes, sadly , farewell over the rainbow bridge .
The support , love , hugs given to me and the tears shared with me through one of the toughest times of my life losing my dear dad and more recently the ill health of my mum .
The most uplifting , loving conversations , sometimes hilarious when it comes to doggie treats and exactly “ what is that “ ..
so much more could be said but I’m trying to keep this to a “Readers Digest “ version.
I could not have done this alone yet I dare not make a “thank you” list for fear of missing someone .
If you know me , then you have helped me and I thank you 🙏.
I must mention a few
Lloyd , for having faith in me all those years ago and always being there to help guide me .
Ross, my rock , always having my back and being a solid, rational sounding board & shoulder to lean on .
Josh , being my sidekick since day 1
My family who have supported & encouraged me all the way, some even getting their hands dirty .
My staff , over the years , a team of many varied personalities, each teaching me something new.
But , mostly , my deepest , most treasured , heartfelt thank you is to YOU 🫵🫶, my amazing , loyal customers & fur family , for without you , we would be nothing.
So, for 2025 & beyond, I wish you endless head boops , belly rubs, ear scratches, never ending treats , a warm comfy bed & full belly & lasting family love 🥰.
Please come say hi , meet the new owners and give me one last hug. Store opens MONDAY 6th Jan .
