๐Ÿšจ Announcement ๐Ÿšจ

Dear friends, clients, and supporters,

It is with a heavy heart that I have to share some difficult news. After a lot of soul searching and consultation with medical professionals, I have made the incredibly tough decision to temporarily close my business.

I recently suffered an injury that has left me in a state of physical and emotional turmoil. I have completely ripped my bicep off the bone, and the road to recovery following surgery is going to be a long and challenging one.

The disappointment of not being able to attend call outs has been truly difficult to handle. The weight of knowing that I am losing work due to a mistake I made is crushing. However, I have come to realise that money is not everything.

In the grand scheme of things, health and well-being are priceless. I have to prioritise my recovery and take the necessary time to heal properly.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering support throughout this journey. Your understanding and patience mean the world to me. I promise to keep you updated on my progress and any developments regarding the reopening of my business.

In the meantime, let's remember that life is a constant ebb and flow of challenges and triumphs. This setback is just that - a setback. I am determined to come back stronger and better than ever before. I will overcome this obstacle and create a brighter future with my family.

Thank you for your understanding, your empathy, and your continued support.

Sadly today we have had 3 cases where a pet has been bitten by a snake. Please keep an eye out for snakes, and as you will be unlikely to be able to see a snake bite wound on pets due to their fur, signs to watch out for in pets include:

Lethargy

Muscle tremors, shaking and reduced palpebral function (reduced eye blinking)

Dilated pupils

Ataxia (weakness) - generally sudden onset followed by collapse, which may be followed by an apparent quick recovery

Paralysis

Loss of bladder and bowel control

Irregular bleeding from the nose, mouth or a**s

Haematuria/myoglobinuria (bloody/dark urine)

Vomiting

Don't interfere with the snake. If you think your dog or cat has been bitten get them to your closest vet ASAP. For snake identification feel free to message me with photos of the snake or call anytime.

I'm also able to come out and do an inspection and offer tips and ideas to make your property
less snake friendly if possible.

Youโ€™d probably be shocked at how many snakes I find in Rhoeo plants, they are very common in many backyards in Queensland, & they make a perfect ground cover for snakes to hide.

Reptiles are now on the move, so keep your eyes open on the roads and also around your homes, and if you see an unwelcome guest, please do the right thing. First of all, ensure that all persons or pets are kept safely away from the snake.
If the snake is inside the house within a room, close the door to that room and create a seal at the bottom of the door by rolling up towels to ensure the reptile canโ€™t escape (make sure there are no gaps). If the snake is inside an open area in the house (such as the Lounge room, kitchen, etc) close all the doors in the house to keep it in one area.
If the snake is outside, it may move on by itself. However, if you'd like it removed, please bring any pets inside and do not hesitate to call us. Please keep an eye on the snake from a safe distance until our arrival.
If possible (and safe) take a photo from your phone from a safe distance in zoom mode for us, this can help us identify it before arrival.

Please be aware call out fee applies.

The snake in the picture is a Common Tree Snake (Dendrelaphis punctulata).
