We were always taught to leave the head last to balance the body out. Clients will eagerly walk up to the trailer to get a sneak peek of their dog’s progress. I would be a very rich person if I had a penny for every one who had asked “are you going to fix the head up?”. Imagine if the clippers stopped working at this point and the scissors dropped! It would be a first and hopefully never happens 😂 shoutout to the groomers that hear this often on their rounds! 🙌

Sadie is a very nervous little dog that suffers from ADHD from birth and has medication before her groom to relax her anxieties. The owner says she has been anxious from birth and doesn’t even like hugs. She w**d on the table twice. We were very gentle with Sadie but she was still very nervous throughout the groom. Is there anything else my fellow groomers can recommend to help her through this process to be as comfortable as possible?

Can we appreciate how cute tiny puppies are??? 8 week old Belle plopped in today for a nail file and a bath. Little one was a bit shy with the dryer and cuddled close and closer into my jacket to hide herself away. She did really well for such a new experience in her short life! Good girl Belle, you’re the cutest!

Ruby the Cav! Only a puppy but she’s getting very good with her grooms. A little more training and she will be 10/10. Luckily, no wee on the table today! Guess it’s better than poo, that stuff is hard to get the smell out 😆 you don’t wake up thinking I’m going to work and my client is going to take a s*it on the table haha what a day to be alive! 😂

Harley…who lives on Davidson Street…what a funny coincidence!!! Better hope the owners don’t move!! Poor little Harley was hit by a car 3 months ago and is in for his first groom since. He was a dream and no issues with mobility with a long groom or sensitivity to touch.

Just because it’s winter doesn’t mean your dogs coat should be neglected. Milly was clipper to a nice length so she looks tidy and gets a nice warm coat to see her through the colder nights.
Don’t forget, if your dogs are wearing coats it’ll mat their coat quickly so don’t forget to brush between wears! No brushy brushy, then shavey shavey :(😭

Ruby the puppy’s first groom! Puppy’s first time introduces all new strange smells, loud noises and unique looking tools. We always do a ‘tidy up’ on the first session to get them used to it. Some puppy’s take well to the process, others not so much. It takes time and patience for them to relax so booking them in regularly gives them a routine so they see it as normal rather than a ‘punishment’ every 6 months.

Leo! Pics don’t do it just but he’s super cute 🥰 I always laugh at the perm they start out with wine then finish with a nice straight coat.
