Doing a trial run with an old cage until and using sand in the bottom of it for the quail. So far everything is working quite nicely. Pictured is a couple of the new ladies I will be keeping to breed from over the next few months. Can't wait to see what I get.

With well over 200 quail eggs here atm. It was time to start using them up. Started off with mini quiches......their was 10 to start with. Just to yummy.

Got 2 double yolkers from the girls today as well.

80 Jumbo/Goliath J*p Quail eggs went into the incubator on the 2nd. After the incubator being turned off for a few hours twice due to a power issue with our shed.i decided to candle the eggs to see if any were still viable. Atm it looks like I've got a nice fertility rate of 83.75%

This is the last hatch that I'll be doing from my girls.

80% of my hens and roosters are for sale. All are between 5months and 1.5years old. Fertility is still perfect for breeding from the older birds.

This has to be the smallest Jumbo J*p quail eggs I've ever collected. The 2 eggs above are much smaller eggs then I normally get. Their from some of the hens from my last hatch.

A new young man on the block. Was sold the the previous owner as a hen. Now here to live his days with the mixed breed girls.

Am super happy with the current fertility rate I'm getting from everything atm. On the next hatch I will be moving on quite a bit of my current Jumbo J*p Quail breeding stock to make room for some younger birds.

Super happy with the Turkey hatch. From 8 eggs I ended up with 6 poults. All happy and healthy. Can't wait to grow them out and have eggs in the incubator next year from them.

Cayuga duckling number 1 of 12. One very tired sleepy baby sleeping it off in the bottom of the incubator. Will head out to the brooder in the morning hopefully with a few more ducklings 🤞🤞

Baby Gosling hatched out yesterday. Had to help the little one out. Wasn't to sure how it's was going to go but the little ones bounced back over night under good heat. So darn cute!!

The quail girls are back laying again. Couldn't believe my eyes when I found this egg sitting in one of the cages. It's was way to big to roll out to the front of the cage. Pictured next to the quail is is the bigger Bantam Easter Egger eggs collected earlier today.

Safe to say one of the girls will be walking with a bit of limp lol.
