This gorgeous lot had their first winter groom this week, the shaggy look will definitely be the fashion in our house over the next few months. For the dogs at least 🫣😆. How are your fur kids coping with the cold? Ours are in jumpers full time except for Koko who won’t keep hers on but then sits there shivering if I turn off the heating 🙄.
I was thinking of you all this morning while getting ready for work. I feel as though I’m neglecting you all somewhat since reengaging with my career full time which is something I never thought I’d do but I’m loving it 🥰.

We’re spending the day at home today with the fur kids to kick off the Easter weekend and enjoying some much needed time out after what has been an incredibly tough week for us all.
I deliberated lots last weekend over what I wanted to say this week to mark the 2nd birthday of our beloved pups Crumpet, Charlee, Maverick, Mila, Benji, Jupiter and Koko. Now all of you that know me personally know that my heart is very much on my sleeve so I’m not ashamed to admit that this was hard on the heart this year due to the recent sudden loss of Benji and Maverick.
In addition to considering carefully what I wanted to say on the special day so soon after the loss of these two boys, we suffered our own terrible loss on Monday and the remainder of the week has been spend in something of a shocked daze. Our kitty Winston was mauled by a loose dog on our front garden on Monday morning and he didn’t make it home. In all honesty, we’re devastated and completely traumatised 💔💔
But I can’t not acknowledge our beautiful Easter 21 litter.
Crumpet, Charlee, Mila, Jupiter and Koko. I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful 2nd birthday with your beautiful families. We love you all and are truly blessed to have watched you grow and develop into not only beautiful puppies but valued members of each of your families 💙💞💞💙💞.
Benji and Maverick, our boys………gone far too soon. You will be missed for an eternity. Our hearts are with your families, I’m sure your birthday was an incredibly difficult day for all that love you. My hope for you both is that you’re reunited and running free together in a sun drenched meadow over the rainbow bridge 🌈🌈.
I’m sorry for the late delivery of my birthday wishes, I honestly just couldn’t face it earlier in the week. Sending much love to you all 🐾🥰

I can’t quite believe that I’m once again less than three weeks after the tragic loss of Benji sharing with you that sadly another of our pups tragically passed away suddenly yesterday.
Maverick was enjoying his usual morning walk with his Mum Sheree at Oxenford Lake when he picked something up and ate it on the footpath in front of the Yacht Club. Fifteen minutes later he passed away in the car on the way home 💔💔
Mavvi was a beautiful strong healthy boy, it’s extremely likely that what he picked up was a cane toad.
I absolutely cannot process the loss of two of our beautiful boys so suddenly in such a short space of time, Benji and Mavvi were brothers from our first litter. I’m really struggling with what to say right now other than thank you to their wonderful families for the unconditional love and great little lives they gave them. Sweet dreams darlings 💔💔

It’s with a very heavy heart that I share that one of my beautiful families lost their beloved fur baby yesterday. He was involved in a tragic accident and sadly didn’t make it. This is a whole new territory for me, I’m absolutely heartbroken to hear of the loss of one of our own. He was a beautiful boy and so deeply loved. Please keep his family in your thoughts as they come to terms with their tragic loss. Rest easy little man 💔💔💔

It’s that time of year again, so just a quick reminder 🙏🏻🐾

❌ PLEASE DO NOT BUY THESE FOR YOUR FUR BABIES ❌

The vast majority of these rawhide products and treats come from China. Their journey starts with the hides being soaked in a toxic sodium sulphide to remove the hair and fat. More chemicals are used in order to split the hide into layers which is then washed with hydrogen peroxide to give the white "pure" look and remove the rancid smell.
Now comes the pretty festive colours and the glue to form cute shapes.

They regularly cause intestinal blockages and choking. The chews go slippery when wet and are near impossible to get hold of to save a choking dog.

Please be safe 🙏🏻🐾

And in other news………last week saw the departure of the last of the puppies. Sorry for the delay in posting an update, due to having a little surgery the week previous it was a crazy time here and took a little adjusting to. And yes, I’m doing just great 👌🏻.
I’m beyond happy with the lovely homes that the puppies have gone to and all are doing incredibly well. And look huge in the photo updates that I’m receiving. I don’t like to share photos without permission from our families but if you have one of our lovely puppies in your home, please feel free to share your favourite photo here with a little update… 🐾❤️🐾💙

This is an X-ray of a 2 week old puppy.

Look at how far the bones have to grow before they become a proper bony joint! This is why you should never let puppies jump, walk up/down stairs, over exercise or over train.

Doing to much impact activity at a young age will cause serious issues later in life, or even at a young age as hip dysplasia and other orthopaedic conditions are rising in puppies!

Remember the puppy rule for every month increase activity by 5 minutes! For example an 8 week old puppy only needs 10 minuets physical activity a day - a 6 month old only needs 30 minutes a day of physical activity!!

*physical activity includes - going for a walk, training, playing fetch, running, playing with other dogs etc.

Enjoy your new puppy but remember you wouldn't make a 6 month old baby run a mile a day so don't make your puppy either!

Dr Kerri has just left after completing health checks, vaccinations and microchips…….all of your fur babies are now official and have a clean bill of health 🐾🌺

We’ve had a change of vet this time due to our previous vet leaving the practice. Dr Kerri is a mobile vet here on the Gold Coast and comes with a five star recommendation from us should any of our puppy families be in the same predicament of selecting a new practice for your new or previous fur kids 🐾🥰

Little pup’date……..four of Kiki’s babies have now been matched with beautiful human families and have brand new names all of their very own. The final little girl is taking it all in her stride, safe in the knowledge that she’s next 🌺🐾💞

Kiki’s babies are 5 weeks old today!! Time has absolutely flown by. I can’t quite believe that in the coming weeks these puppies will be ready to go on their way off into the world to begin life with new families. Today I thought I would take some new photos of them all. This collection of photos took so much longer than it should, maybe I’m just a terrible influence because as soon as I touch them they think it’s time to play. But here they are, happy 5 weeks babies 🐾🥳

We’ve moved out of the whelping pen this morning into the big kid playpen. As you can see, weaning is going amazingly well. Miss Scout was the first to wee on the nice clean puppy mats so I thought I’d better get in and take this video and a few photos before it turns into a poo fest 🫣😆. Hope you’ve all have a fabulous start to the sunny new week 🐾😎

Three weeks old today and although they are still very wobbly and quite clumsy the transformation in these pups is incredible!! I brought them out of the whelping box this morning in a hope of catching some awesome footage of them playing but by the time Kiki decided that she was confident to leave them they were all settled and beginning to snooze 🫣.
It’s difficult to comprehend that in just five weeks time these babies will be ready to leave us and begin their lives in their forever homes 🐾😳

How are the puppies 18 days old already? They are getting so big and strong. All have opened their eyes and are practicing using their wobbly legs. A few have switched from squeaks to little yaps which is just beautiful to hear……..
Today I upgraded their home after discovering a certain little boy on the carpet outside of the pen yesterday afternoon. They are just so strong but it’s vital that I know that they’re safe when I’m not watching so I raised the sides of the whelping pen this afternoon. I kept them low for Kiki while she recovered from the birth and the puppies weren’t particularly mobile but the monkeys are now getting stronger by the day and keen to explore.
I intended to do a little photo shoot this afternoon after a trip to the shops to buy them some new blankets but that didn’t quite go to plan after a lady used her Toyota to plough into the side of my car on the way home. We’re all ok, just a little shook up…….the car maybe not so good but it’s not important. The babies are happy with their new new thermal mats and the heat pads and heated newborn basket have been removed.
Hopefully tomorrow is photo day. This litter are just my pride and joy right now. Such beautiful babies 🐾💞💙💞💞💞
