Puppy playtime is vital for emotional development. Learning to be a well rounded dog is an important part of what strive for. 💕
The babies had a ball playing in the big yard today. With an acre to roam over they explored gardens, found some sand to dig in, rolled down the little hill and played hide and seek and ambush with each other and us. Life is never boring with these little guys around. 💕
Puzzle time for the little babies. They love challenges and these puzzles take them a good 15 minutes to finish. It’s almost time to upgrade them to Level 3. We need to make sure they have something new to solve when their new families take them home so we don’t ever let them try out every puzzle.
Brax tried out his first Outward Hound enrichment puzzle. We started at level 2 but he definitely needs harder puzzles to keep his mind busy. These are pretty close to indestructible and well worth investing in if you want to keep your puppy occupied and thinking.
All the babies have taken to the level 2 puzzle game already and are finding all the treats.
Indoor play after a nice warm towel off. We had the vacuum running while they were playing and the washing machine is on in the background.
Our upcoming assistance pup, Brax, had a go at walking on what most pups would consider a very scary surface. He embraced the challenge, hardly noticing the air under him with that focussed concentration on getting the treats.
This is the sort of thing we work on as part of our socialisation process. It’s important that the outcome is as positive as possible so unless you’re confident that your pup can succeed it’s best to tackle challenges like this with your professional trainer.
We recommend, Jo, from Paw & Order Noosa who spends time with us and our pups every week ensuring we are producing the best pups we possibly can.
