As Spring arrives on my farm, I'm especially cautious of snakes while walking my dogs.
Just remember when walking your pet to keep them close and avoid letting them roam near tall grass, woodpiles, or sheds where snakes may be hiding. Stick to open areas, and if you encounter a snake, calmly move away to keep everyone safe.
