🐾 Introducing your puppy to grooming as early as possible is crucial to ensure your puppy becomes relaxed as possible with all aspects of the grooming process. Grooming involves more than just brushing or water.
There are;
sounds-scissors, trimmers, blow drier, water coming out of the nozzle.
Sensations- vibrations, blowing air, scissors touching the coat
Handling- holding and touching all parts of the body in a comfortable and safe manner.
Just to name a few.

Puppy grooming is also important to avoid matting, every puppy transitions to an adult coat and without grooming during this stage this can result in matting! Matting= a negative grooming experience, why? Because matting pulls, bruises, doesn’t allow skin circulation and can hide skin infections and irritation or cause them as matting can trap moisture and dirt underneath.
Groomers choose the most humane way possible to remove matting but these sessions are still uncomfortable for the dog.

Getting your puppy introduced early will allow it to be confident and comfortable for the rest of its grooming life 🐾
