After a very ruff couple of months and a quick paws on social medias, we’re back!

Bit of a pupdate as to why we’ve been so quiet lately;
In July, Mash Potato (my own little speed noodle), was attacked quite badly and unfortunately lost a leg. I can’t go into details but it was the most traumatic experience I’ve had being a dog mum and after working with dogs for 10+ years.
I limited the amount of dogs I booked in and didn’t take in many new clients during this time so I could focus on the pooches I had booked in and Mash and I’s physical / mental healing, as both my hands were also injured in the attack 🤍

Since then we’ve been keeping quiet doing some yard pupgrades and finally figured out a booking / kennel software that worked for my technology illiterate brain; Doggie Dashboard! After also having a lot of phone issues and problems with my website e-mail link I’ve figured most of that out and am finally ready to start booking clients in with the new system 👩🏻‍💻

I’d like to apawlogise to any clients I missed or haven’t gotten back to during this ruff time but we can’t express our gratitude and love for everyones continued suppawt and letting me care for your pooches.
As some will agree, dogs are better than most therapy 🐶

I’ll be pupdating the social media pages and website with some FAQ and how to book in with the new system (and lots of overdue photos of new pack members!) but if I have missed your enquiry and you’re still interested in our services please reach out and I will get back to you ASAP 🦴

The lovely little Luna has joined our pack for the week and we are absolutely in love with her! She has kept herself busy playing with all her new friends and toys, stopping for some necessary treat breaks and extra smooches in her VIP room while her pawrents are missing her 🥰❤️

Little pupdate from the Hound Hotel 🗣
These two are my moods this week as I figured out my gmails haven’t been sending to certain emails, but my technology illiterate self has finally sorted it so will be spending the weekend doing admin and catching pup to everyone! I’ve also had a horrible head cold for the first weekend of the school holidays and just in time for tax time 🤩
Good news though Meeshka finally sorted out an online booking form so those will be sent out with all email replies as well! It’s been a ruff start but we appreciate everyone’s pawtience and support and can’t wait to meet you and all your fur kids 🏨🐶

It’s and the pooches have some very impawtant information to share 😎

Dog goggles or ‘doggles’ are mainly used for pooches suffering from conjunctivitis, glaucoma, after eye surgery or other eye conditions that may require them whenever they go outside. They can also be handy for
• dock diving and boating
• beach trips (sand and sun protection)
• forrest or any thick bushed hikes / runs
• camping
• any dog that likes to hang his head out the car window
Can benefit from snug-fitting doggles to minimise eye irritation and any debris getting in them. They also look damn cute wearing them 👀🥽

Apollo and Shadow have joined our pack for a few weeks and I’m as happy as they are 🤩 These two fluff butts were some of my first dog walking clients from nearly 6 years ago and are who made me fall in love with huskies! I haven’t seen them since I became busy with my own huskies so it’s so lovely being able to look after them again 🐺🥰

The terribly cute twosome Turbo and Odey joined the pack this week while their pawrents go for a pawlidy ✈️ They have made themselves at home so quickly and Mash absolutely loves having some old furiends 🐎💚

This week the beautiful Oatly had a trial night with us and stayed in our VIP room to ease her into her first boarding experience. Like a typical hound she was more interested in sniffing the yard and basking in the sun but settled in so well with her other hound friends ☀️💛

We also had the pawleasure of welcoming happy little Maggie to our pack over the weekend! Was very hard to get nice pawtraits of this full of beans little lass until she curled up in my pillows for a well earned nap 🥹😴

Novak the happiest lil Border Collie had his first night with the pack over the weekend to see how he went for future longer stays and we made sure he had the best time to ease him into it. Settled in like a pro and became furiends with everyone straight away 🥰❤️

We really are the Hound Hotel this weekend as Lulu has rejoined the pack! She was one of our first guests while we set everything up but we didn’t get an intro post last time (I was having lots of phone difficulties for our first few weeks). As you can tell she makes herself right at home each time 😂🤩 Her mum is one of our biggest and loveliest supporters and Lulu is one of our most loved clients and gets the ✨extra✨VIP treatment with us 🐕🤎

I would like everybody to meet our new permanent empawyee of the Hound Hotel - Manyana Monelli; now Mash Potato the Couch Potato 🥔 Strap yourselves in for his story!
A lot of you don’t know but I also do kennel work for and out of HUNDREDS of dogs I just fell in love with Manyana when I first saw him in September last year. He’d just started his racing career and I knew he would probably never be my couch potato; even telling the handler that in a few years when he retires to come find me 😂🤞🏼
The original trainer of Manyana actually retired and half of his dogs went over east but much to my joy Manyana stayed in WA! Also much to my joy Manyana did not want to be a race dog, always dropping back before the end of races, so I asked his new trainer if he’d like a couch to retire too instead, AND TO MY SURPRISE HE SAID YES.
We’ve been organising his career change from racer to couch potato for the last few weeks and I’m so so excited he’s finally coming home with us! Meeshka loves her hounds as she’s a chilled out couch potato now as well and I feel like Mash’s stubborn butt will fit right in with ours 🍑🧡

The boys Macbeth and Thorin were happily welcomed back to the pack this weekend! These crazy kids had their 1st birthday on Saturday; but we didn’t know until after so we’re going to have a big pawty to make up for it on their next stay 🌭🥳

Sweet small Zoe and her ‘little’ brother Monty have settled in so well and it’s only their second day! Monty loves zooming around the yard and telling me off for taking too long to throw the ball and Zoe is a little more relaxed and lady-like so trots around showing off her puffy jacket, helping me keep an eye on her crazy brother 🤪🐶

Just a little pupdate from Meeshka and me 🤗

The last couple of weeks we have had a few small set backs (thanks covid) but have been busy behind the scenes doing some yard-work, a lot of paperwork (Meeshka is better at the yard-work than the paperwork) and finishing our website. Meeshka couldn’t find a booking system that worked for us so we’re currently just using an actual book; so please email, call or slide into our direct messages for now and we can book your fur kids in 🤓

I have also been finishing up some shifts at my three jobs I was working before starting Hound Hotel, so very busy little bees. With all that being said we are officially all moved in and the yards are finally set up for your pooches to play safely in!

We apologise for any late responses to enquiries but we also appreciate everyones patience and support while we are getting all set up. I am finalising all bookings this week so please don’t be afraid to double message or call if I have missed you. Thank you 🥰

Lastly but not least introducing our assistant to the regional manager; Meeshka!
This fluffbutt will be there to welcome you and your pooches to Hound Hotel Perth. Her main duties currently include: supplying cuddles, giving her expertise for new ideas for the kennels and she’s currently in charge of finding us an online booking system so please bear with us!
As an older rescue dog Meeshka knows how important it is to give dogs their space at first and can be a relaxing companion for any dogs who may want one. She looks forward to meeting you and your pooches as much as me 🖤🐾

Hi I’m Emma!
I’m the founder and owner of Hound Hotel Perth. I have worked with dogs for 10 years now, originally studying vet nursing and then deciding to change to dog behaviour. I have previously worked in the veterinary field then moving onto working in kennels as a kennel hand and fostering and volunteering for rescues while having my own small pet sitting business. My favourite job has definitely been managing the Ruff n Tumble doggy daycare! I am currently studying dog training so I have experience and am confident with all sizes, breeds and temperaments.
I’ve recently had the opportunity to start my own boarding business with my own kennels and I’m so excited to where this new adventure takes me and even more excited to care for all your pooches!

We are the HOUND HOTEL PERTH and we are Perth’s newest boarding facility located in Canning Vale!

We are a smaller facility with only 25 kennels but we make up for that with our massive yard spaces. Being a new and smaller boarding facility we have more time to spend one on one time with your pooches while they stay with us. As a huge dog lover I strongly believe that kennelling experiences shouldn’t be stressful and I hate hearing stories how dogs return home stressed and anxious. At Hound Hotel Perth we strive to make your pooches stay with us enjoyable and full of love and will go above and beyond to cater to all our pooches needs. You can be assured they will be loved like our own during their stay with us.
