And that's a wrap... Thank you so much to everyone who let me care for your pups throughout the past 2 years! It's been an absolute honor and pleasure to have been able to spend time with all the gorgeous dogs that have been apart of the Storm and friends family 💜 thank you all for the lovely messages and gifts - it's been truly humbling to know how much of an impact I've made on so many dogs lives. I learnt so much over the time of running this business, and it's something that I will cherish forever. Each and every dog that I've cared for has a special place in my heart and I really couldn't be more greatful. So thanks again to all my amazing clients, who have always been so easy to deal with and super understanding! You all helped me to grow Storm & Friends into what it became. This won't be the last you will hear of us! Much love to you all!💜

For those of you that knew, I got some unfortunate news a month ago that sadly Storms health had deteriorated drastically, she was diagnosed with a moderate heart murmur, along side apparent neurological damage caused by her stroke last year, as well as severe arthritis- which we already knew. This is why she has no longer been in group walks for a while now. She was one very sad pup. I was advised that it would not be wise to take her with me on my move to Perth. Unfortunately it was a little too late to back out on plans. However after a month on her new medication - she has made such a huge improvement, the vets were so happy and surprised with the way she had responded. That we have now had the all clear for her to travel!! It has been a huge relief and I'm so so greatful for this news. It has been the hardest time coming to terms with the fact, that it may have been in her best interest to leave her with family. But I finally feel a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Knowing she can spend her last years by my side 💜 wouldn't have it any other way 🥰.

✨️ Hi everyone, as most of you know already - and I do apologize if I haven't told you yet!

I am taking on a new adventure and am going to be moving to Perth on the 3rd of March. Which means I sadly am no longer going to be caring for your beautiful dogs! It has been the most amazing experience setting up Storm & Friends, and meeting so many awesome people and their pups along the way. It's going to be extremely difficult to say goodbye to all the dogs that I've created such strong bonds with over the past 2 years. I honestly feel so fulfilled every single day that I get to spend with them. However it's time for me to take a leap of faith and allow myself the opportunity to get ahead. This will not be the end of Storm & Friends, but I will be taking a big step back for the next year or 2 until I am able to come back bigger and better than before.

With that being said, all boarding will end on the 11th of February. And the last day for walks will be 1st of March! I hope to be able to recommend some other amazing walkers to you all before I leave. So that your dogs can carry on their social journeys.

I'm really greatful for all the support I've had over the past 2 years, I honestly never thought I'd be able to grow Storm & Friends into what it has become and also make such an impact on so many dogs lives. It's been an absolute blessing, that I'll hold with me forever. Thanks again everyone! 💜✨️

Hello everyone, sadly I've just returned a positive test for covid. Had a bit of a rough night and still not feeling great. I still have lots of doggies here, so just going to try and rest and do what I can, so bear with me. If you are meant to be picking up over the next couple days please let me know a time and I will make sure all their things are outside the gate and they will be waiting in the yard for you to collect. Appreciate your understanding!

It is with the absolute heaviest heart I am requesting some help. Due to a drastic change in circumstances my family and I have to move overseas in late January next year. On Wednesday last week the 4th of October, I took my afternoon group out to a spot we frequent often. Nearby is a gun range, and on this day it must have been particularly loud. Not too long into the walk one of my wee pups got spooked and took off. Initially I did all the wrong things and went into panic mode. After about 20 minutes of calling for her, I jumped on Facebook and contact Don from Nelson Search Dog/Tracking Page. I had been following him for a while and saw many successful stories he had on finding lost dogs. So I figured he would be the best person to ask for advice. Within 10 minutes I got the phone call! Immediately stopped and followed his advice. This resulted in the successful outcome of finding Gidget within hours! I was very concerned that she wouldn't be going home that night. If you ever are in a similar situation as we were, don't hesitate to reach out to Don! He does amazing work!! And thank you to Gidgets owner Andrea, for being really supportive and understanding! Couldn't be more greatful!

OPERATION “GIDGET”

Our mini schnauzer cross Gidget isn’t scared of anything…except fireworks and things that sound like fireworks! So when she was out at the forest with our regular dog walker and people started firing at the gun range nearby, she panicked and bolted into the bush to find a safe little hidey hole.

Luckily our dog walker had heard of Don and contacted him straight away, so we didn’t waste any time! By the time I arrived to help look, she knew what to do.

It was SO HARD, and I confess, I did, mostly followed the rules 😂

About 2 hours later (so 3 hours after she went missing) I turned around and saw Gidget timidly creeping out onto the path! It took everything in me not to sprint towards her, but she still looked so frightened I knew Don was right that if we chased her she’d run off again. Once she got a bit closer she realised she was safe and ran to us for cuddles!

I’m so, so grateful, I really thought Gidget was going to spend a night out in the cold and, as a VERY spoilt pup, I wasn’t sure how she’d cope! Thank you so much!

Hello everyone, the end of the year is nearing and it has been one amazing year so far! We have been blessed with awesome weather for most of the days and I've been so lucky to have had the opportunity to meet so many new pups and their amazing owners. As well as continue my adventures with all my current pups, that have been with me from the beginning! Couldn't be more greatful for the support from you all! With that being said I have decided to take my very first trip out of NZ ever!! And I will be heading away to Australia the beginning of December before the big Christmas & New years rush!

I will be away from the 30th of November to the 11th of December. Which means walks will be finishing up earlier than usual. Last day of walks will be Wednesday the 29th of November. Full time group walks will then continue from the 12th of Dec to the 22nd of Dec. They will then finish for the break and not start back until the 8th of January. HOWEVER if you are needing walks between that time (22nd dec - 8th of Jan) I will have limited spots available - to tag along with my Christmas/NY boarders.

Dates to remember:

✨️ Back for 2 weeks: 12th Dec - 22nd
✨️ Limited walking spots available: 23rd Dec - 8th Jan.
