is always soooo keen to start his sessions and always starts at top speed first. Once that’s out the way we can settle into a groove for the remainder of the session. What a good boy 😎😎😎

Taco is challenged with getting into vehicles. So we can take our mills outside the van to do sessions. This time we ran in the nice cool basement with a fan for moving air. Once again, 2nd week in a row, he has hit 38.3kph 💪💪💪

Taco is back after a little break. Taco dislikes getting into vehicles so for now, we remove a mill from its quick release brackets in the van and run him outside. At some stage we will work towards trying to get him back into the van on the mills as the a/c is much cooler.

Powerful STORM, the tri-paw’d Malinois is always super excited to run in the and we LOVE to have her and her housemates Mouse and Eagle.
Unlike some of the slatmill videos you’ll see, we normally don’t suspend dogs by the harness (no criticism intended). We prefer to have a very rearward anchor point to harness onto, because it means the dog has to learn balance and to run naturally in a proper manner and gate pattern. That does mean it takes longer to learn. Possibly the suspension is done to achieve a higher success rate and simpler attachment? Either way, we have used suspension to enable Storm to run more easily, smoothly and efficiently since her front leg amputation.

Glitch is totally deaf partially blind, no peripheral vision and slowly loosing his central vision. Mill running means he can run at whatever speed he feels with no fear of running into objects. How cool is that?
