Our vision is that every WA cat should be a well-cared for cat and we work towards achieving this by providing:
- Shelter facilities for lost, abandoned and stray cats
- Foster care program that allows sick, injured and shy animals to recover in volunteers homes until they are ready for adoption
- A re-homing program at the Cat Haven campus as well as through a network of 24 pet stores across the
metropolitan area. Cat Haven’s core business is not only about improving the welfare of cats and kittens but also about improving the lives of people in the community and protecting our environment. Our rescue and surrender services ensure stray and unwanted cats are properly cared for and placed into suitable new homes rather than being ‘dumped’ on the streets. In this way we help reduce the stray and feral cat population and all the problems these can create for people as well as protecting native species. Our re-homing services help people find a cat or kitten that suits their lifestyle thereby helping individuals and families gain the benefits of owning a companion animal. Please be mindful of dropping donations we can't use, pillow cases, hand towels fitted sheets, pillows or doonas as we have to dispose of these ourselves which is very time consuming for our volunteers and has a cost incurred.

Our shelter is bursting at the seams with so many precious cats and kittens in our fungal area. These furry souls are longing for a warm place to call home.
Each day they wait, their hope in their eyes dimming over time. Despite their sweet natures and playful spirits, they remain overlooked, because of their easy-to-treat condition.
We are treating them in the shelter but lack the resources to provide them all with the care and attention they deserve. You can change their lives by giving them a loving home.
Join us at our Mushroom Matchmaking on Sunday 23rd June from 10am-4pm. This event will be a glimmer of hope for these overlooked cats and kittens.
🐾Fees waived on adoptions of our ringworm cats and kittens: You will meet our adorable cats and kittens in need of loving homes. Whether this is adoption or foster. These special cats may have ringworm, but they are full of love and affection just waiting to be shared with their forever families.
🛍️Goodie bags at adoption: As a token of appreciation for opening your heart and home to one of our furry friends, each adoption will come with a special goodie bag filled with some of the basic essentials and medication to help you and your new companion start your journey together on the right paw.
🎉Talk to experienced staff: Not sure about the process of caring for a ringworm cat? We will have a talented staff here to help answer any questions you may have.

This is on the back of our volunteer run Felines and Fashion brand where we successfully raised much needed funds selling quality preloved clothes via events and pop up shops over the past few years.
Our shop will be located at 164A Scarborough Beach Road, Scarborough (alongside other op shops) and we need your help to get ready!

Will is a 10 year old boy who came to Cat Haven in May. He has had such a hard life on the streets as you can see from his beaten up appearance. Don’t let his looks deceive you, he is a very snuggly boy who has been hanging out int the CEO’s office here at Cat Haven while he waits for some vet work to be done. He needs to have some teeth removed and other surgeries to heal from his time living outside. Can you donate towards his surgeries?
He is becoming more social each day despite going through such hardship on the streets. He deserves just as much love as the cute little kittens we have coming through every day.

😿Cat Haven is in crisis😿 Do you know anyone with a cat shaped whole in their heart? We are running a adoption special where all cats over 6 months old are FEE FREE to reduce numbers in the shelter. We have over 400 cats and kittens looking for homes over the next 4 days. We are still receiving between 50-70 cats per day and this isn’t slowing down, we need to lower our numbers on site to make sure we have space for these new cats and kittens coming in that need our help. When: Thursday 10am-4pm Friday 10am-5:45pm Saturday 10am-4pm Sunday 10am-4pm Where: 23 Lemnos Street, Shenton Park Incoming cats and kittens are being housed in dog crates and carriers as we do not have space to house them at the shelter. If you have the space in your home to open a cat or kitten please do come down this weekend. Some of the cats have been in care for over 5 weeks, which is not ideal in a shelter environment. If you cannot adopt but have space to foster please let us know. We have lots of cats here that are waiting for their surgeries, needing a break from the shelter or looking for some socialisation. All normal stringent adoption procedures apply, with anyone adopting from the shelter or in foster. This decision was not made lightly and has been thoroughly discussed and researched prior to this decision being made. We reserve the right to refuse and adoption without explanation. When we first meet, I might be a bit shy and hide away, but once I get comfortable, I can be quite clingy and I like attention and gentle pats. I’m most active during the night or early morning. I'm Harriet, I've just turned one 🎂🎁🎈🎉1️⃣ $25 adoption fee.. listen to my purrr.... I have long, elegant legs and I'm polite and sweet, but I can be shy and nervous around humans. Since my foster mom met me, though, my confidence has skyrocketed! I love playing, getting head pats, and just hanging out. I'm still a bit skittish, and sudden movements send me under the bed, but I'm learning to be braver. I really like routine; it helps me feel safe and secure. One of my favorite things is sleeping on one of my foster mom's shirts-it smells like home! I get along well with other cats, and after a little while, I'll warm up to you. Once you give me that first headscratch, we'll be the best of friends. When I'm feeling playful, I adore chasing after wand toys and batting around balls. I'm also food-motivated, and I'm not shy about letting you know when it's mealtime! I really want cuddles, but I'm not quite sure how to ask for them. Once I'm settled in, though, I'll follow you around like a duckling, ready for all the love and pats you can give me!
