Our vision is that every WA cat should be a well-cared for cat and we work towards achieving this by providing:
- Shelter facilities for lost, abandoned and stray cats
- Foster care program that allows sick, injured and shy animals to recover in volunteers homes until they are ready for adoption
- A re-homing program at the Cat Haven campus as well as through a network of 24 pet stores across the

metropolitan area. Cat Haven’s core business is not only about improving the welfare of cats and kittens but also about improving the lives of people in the community and protecting our environment. Our rescue and surrender services ensure stray and unwanted cats are properly cared for and placed into suitable new homes rather than being ‘dumped’ on the streets. In this way we help reduce the stray and feral cat population and all the problems these can create for people as well as protecting native species. Our re-homing services help people find a cat or kitten that suits their lifestyle thereby helping individuals and families gain the benefits of owning a companion animal. Cat Welfare Society Inc (Cat Haven WA) is a registered Charity with the ACNC.

Chilli and Bella are a sweet little old couple who have been together their whole lives - and they're not leaving each other's side!
At 16 and 15 years old, the shelter is just not the right place for these two sweet seniors and they have been getting more and more scared every day.

Chilli and Bella would love you to take them and give them all the extra love and care they deserve in while they wait for their adoption from home. Chilli has arthritis, and would benefit so much from having somewhere nice and cozy to stretch out his legs.

These cats are not coping in a shelter environment and are declining every day.

Jacki is a two year old young lady who has oodles of kitten energy and excitement! She's not shy when it comes to asking for pats and you'll get bored of this before she does. Put a hand at her height and Jacki will be there purring!

Jacki's appreciation for rubbing and play extends to the other cats in the house. She would love to have other feline friends for socialising and play time once her human's arms have tired out! Jacki also loves food - she's not picky and she'll try and pinch leftovers from other pets or humans if you leave them around. She's perfect at using her litter tray and enjoys having her things in a safe, quiet space.

Tantor is only 4 years old and really prefers the quiet life. He will need a place where he's the only pet. He actually really just wants all your attention for himself!

Tantor has FIV so he'll need to live indoors, too. But he'd much rather be there with you anyway. 🫶

Hi, I'm Vanilla Matcha!😺 I'm a shy and aloof two-year old with a beautiful tortoiseshell coat and a single white patch of fur on my chest. I've become quite comfortable with the space where I am, and I am a very well-behaved cat. I'm not too interested in cat toys, but I am quite food motivated - breakfast time is my favourite part of the day! I especially like to come out and meow at my foster human to remind them when it is time to eat - works every time! I'm generally very independent and like to hang out and amuse myself.

I'm currently sharing a house with two other cats, but I am not really interested in interacting with them, I just stay out of their way. I'd probably prefer a quiet house with fewer people. I also need people who can understand that although I'm not a super cuddly cat YET, with a quiet space and some time I could become your best friend. So, please come and meet me so you can see for yourself how cute I am!

😺 Hello I am Ruth, can you please adopt me?

I am two years old and like to spend my days lounging around the house, my favourite hobbies are sunbathing, bird watching and sleeping, so my new house will need plenty of window sill space for me to still enjoy these things.

I have a very healthy appetite and always finish my meals! I also enjoy having treats left around the house for me to find! My favourite toys are my Kiwi and Mouse soft toys, we play fight a lot, especially at night time! My foster family has tried giving me pom pom and feather string toys, but nothing beats my soft furry friends!

Overall my foster family think I am a very sweet cat with a brave spirit. I just need a bit of patience while I familiarise myself with new places and people, but it won't take long for me to indulge in your pats and watch you go about your day with a curious twinkle in my eye!

❤️What to do if you find kittens❤️

With kitten season hot on our tails we would like to remind you of what to do if you find young kittens.

Please don’t touch or move the kittens unless they are in a dangerous area or injured, as the mother will probably be nearby. Just put some food and water out for the mother and keep an eye on the kittens. If they are in good condition, clean and plump then you can assume they are feeding from the mother so we can organise to trap the mother first, then the kittens. If, after many hours there is still no sign that the mother is around, then place the kittens in a box with plenty of bedding for warmth and contact your council, Cat Haven or another rescue group as soon as you can.
