I would like to sincerely apologize to those who reached out to me in December regarding a kitten for my delayed responses.

Unfortunately, my mother-in-law suffered two falls, and within a week, she passed away; we honored her memory by laying her to rest on December 19, 2024.

Jaiymeka Cattery, established in 1997, has always been passionate about golden shaded Persians with stunning emerald green eyes. Our breeding program evolved to include Golden Chinchilla and exotics, and we imported seven cats from the USA, representing a wide range of lines. We took a hiatus from breeding our goldens for eight years, but have since revived our program with a focus on golden shaded and Golden Chinchilla Persians and exotics. People are asking me about the cost of my Kittens. Below is a small example of what it costs to be a Breeder.

To raise healthy well adjusted socialised kittens.

🐈 multi vitamins minerals
🐈 Premium cat biscuits.
🐈 local shire yearly registrations
🐈 Kittens pedigree each kitten
🐈 breeder membership
🐈vaccinations
🐈 microchipping
🐈 Desexing
🐈 pet insurance
🐈 premium cat litter
🐈 F10 disinfectant
🐈 litter trays
🐈carry cages
🐈 cleaning of Cat areas twice daily
🐈 professionally made Cat runs to ensure safety of Cats
🐈 Kitten enrichment toys equipment playing with your Kittens to ensure that they are able to be handled and socialised
🐈 emergency vet care
🐈 purchase of top-quality Breeding cats.

Do you know how much time it takes to take one good photo you might have to take 15 photos just to get one good photo it is time-consuming this is why we give one very good photo to each Kitten.

Perhaps after reading this you can understand a little bit of why breeders charge for their kittens. We are available to our Kittens 24 hours a day seven days a week.
We often miss out on private lives as we are making sure our cats/kittens are safe.
If you think cat breeding is easy I encourage you to give it a go. It is not as easy as you think.

My final comment is, if you ask your Breeder to negotiate on the cost of your Kitten. Don’t be surprised if you’re Breeder tells you to look elsewhere.
