🎉♥Feel Good Friday♥🎉

Margot came to us from the pound at 8-months-old. She was completely shut down and terrified. She feared people, shadows, things waving in the breeze, just everything!
Our dog, Walter, gave Margot confidence. We knew we needed to find a family for her with another dog to guide the way. And we did! A beautiful family with a little dog that she immediately got on well with. Margot went to live with them and took a piece of my heart with her, as all foster dogs do.
And yeahhhhh… Margot poo pooed the whole “new family thing”. She escaped and spent 7 days on the run. Some of the most stressful days of my life! Walter, myself and a team of volunteers covered many miles looking for that girl.
Margot was eventually captured, and the new family understandably didn’t want to go through that experience again. She returned to us and well, she never left again!
Margot is, and always will be, a fearful dog – but she has come such a long way in the 18 months that she has been here, and watching her reach new milestones warms my heart. She loves cuddles with myself and my son. She loves her daily walks and treatos. Most of all she loves her Walter

JJ is an adorable little companion! He has a sweet nature and playful spirit, once comfortable. He needs a little minute to warm up to people but comes around quickly and once he has ‘approved’ he is a sweet, loving boy. 🐾 Our Fostering Journey: 2011 and Beyond 🐾

It all began in 2011, with a dog we just couldn’t get out of our minds. He kept showing up in our news feed, day after day, until we finally decided we could offer him everything the rescue was asking for. That special dog became our very first "foster fail," and he stayed with us forever. ❤️

Because he was a bit dog-selective, we started helping in other ways—transporting dogs from the pound, doing fence checks, and learning so much about rescue along the way. We met so many incredible dogs who just needed love and understanding.

Then came our next foster. We initially offered just 24 hours of respite, but... he never left either. 🥰

From there, we took on the role of neonate carers, bottle-feeding tiny pups who needed a little extra help to get strong enough for their next foster homes. It was a joy to see them grow and thrive, knowing we played a small part in their journey.

This year brought heartache as we lost two of our crew in a matter of weeks. As fate would have it, Pippa and Wonton entered our lives, both needing a safe place to land. Pippa, grieving the loss of her family, found comfort in Wonton. She took him under her wing as though he were her own pup, teaching him all the things we couldn’t. Their bond reminded us just how important fostering is—not just for the animals but for everyone involved.

Letting Wonton go to his perfect forever family was bittersweet, but seeing him find his place made it all worth it. And yes, we may have had another "foster fail" along the way but honestly how could we not....

Fostering has taught us so much about love, resilience, and the incredible power of second chances.

Maggie is not your average young cat. After being rescued, heavily pregnant and malnourished, Maggie has flourished in foster care.

She birthed our Halloween babies and tried her best to keep her surviving kitten Boo out of trouble.

She is the smartest lady her foster carers have had, living with a hand-raised 1yr male cat and a canine (Maggie is very uncomfortable around dogs of all sizes so not suited to dog/cat home) Maggie is very friendly towards people and loves to give her family nose kisses.

Maggie is a very typical ginger, she is vocal and when she wants something she lets you know. She loves playing and adventuring in the cat run but be warned, it will need to be secure, like I said, very clever! Maggie is in great health now, she loves hanging out with the kids while they play board games or barbies. She loves a nice soft bed to curl up on when it’s cool and enjoys sunbake in the window hammocks. She is playing chasey with toys and loves her enrichment games and food

🎉♥Feel Good Friday♥🎉

Nexo came into care in 2013 as a 6mth old pregnant baby. She delivered 4 kittens, one stillborn. She was the perfect Mumma and even adopted a little tabby neonate and raised as her own.
Nexo came to me with her three kittens (the fourth ‘adopted’ kitten came whilst she was in my care) in October 2013. She never left as I adopted her. She is nearly 12yrs old now and is still the sweetest girl, accepting all of the foster cats that come into the home.
Foster Fails are truly the best and I have been blessed caring for and loving Nexo❤️
