The Royal Easter Show is coming up quickly! Make sure you don't wait until the last minute to get your horse clipped if it's growing coat now!

It's always best to get your horse clipped 2 weeks before a show so your horse has time to accumulate coat get a little bit of growth so it looks slightly more natural.

With clipping season soon approaching..

Please make sure you book in early as in April, May and June I’m normally booked out 2-3 weeks ahead!

And I don’t know why I have to say this again (also some regular customers are slack!) please wash your horse either the day before or on the day of clipping. I’d rather clip a wet but scrubbed horse than a dirty one as it kills my blades instantly. For dirty horses an extra fee of $40 will need to be paid or I won’t come out to clip next time. Also please rug your horse after washing it (but don’t over rug it so it will sweat under the rug).

Make sure you’ll be there to hold your horse (especially a new horse) as I don’t like to get injured with horses walking over the top of me.

A couple of days ago I got crushed by a horse leaving me with injuries. So for the next 2 weeks or so I’ll be going a bit slower as I’m in quite a bit of pain and discomfort. I do apologise if I have to stop or reschedule clips. I also won’t be able hang onto legs and ears, so if your horse is a bit naughty it will need to be sedated or twitched.
