Peanut butter!

We all get a laugh when seeing a dog attempting to eat peanut butter, but did you know that peanut butter can contain an ingredient that is potentially fatally poisonous to dogs?

A lot of the new peanut butters and similar nut butters now have an ingredient called ‘Xylitol’ in them. Xylitol is an artificial sweetener added to lessen the sugar content and can cause seizures, vomiting, liver failure, internal bleeding and even death. If you feed your dog any products like this, make sure to check the ingredient list, because not all food we can consume, can be fed to your loved furry family member.

This is also why all my dog snacks are made with natural ingredients, that contain no artificial ingredients or flavours, that could potentially harm your dog. With ever order I will include an ingredient list and if your dog has any dietary requirements or allergies, just let me know and I will work out an alternative for you, if I haven’t already!
