Hello everyone!
Just wanted to update everyone on where I'm up to and when i'll be taking bookings again.
Unfortunately, I've had some secondary issues with my foot and knee after rupturing my Achilles tendon and was dealing with a lot of swelling post op.
As i'm still working as a Vet Nurse, i've found it difficult to balance the rest my body needs for recovery with work and a new addition to our family as well.
For these reasons I have extended my break from grooming.
I apologise for any inconvenience this has caused my regular clients and aim to be back before Summer this year.
We have also moved house, so i'm still working out the logistics of my new grooming space.
I will be in touch with everyone who has messaged me as soon as I know more.

To all those who have recently messaged me, I will sadly have to push my return date back an extra few weeks. I have ruptured my Achilles tendon and am recovering from surgery.
As soon as I am able to take bookings I will be reaching out to those of you who have messaged me first.

Even more reason to stay on top of your dogs coat maintenance.
Please make sure your dog is on tick prevention! They can get a tick from anywhere, even your own backyard.

⚠️LOW TO NO tick antiserum Australia wide

This means if your furry family member gets a tick and isn’t on a preventive it will now be even more difficult for your vet to currently treat.

The best thing we can do for our pets to avoid even needing to see a vet for treatment due to tick envenomation is to make sure they are on a well-rounded preventative and to triple check your current preventive NOW to make sure it also covers paralysis ticks!

Steps to follow to keep your loved fur-members safer and to avoid seeing a vet due to tick envenomation include:

• Providing your pet with a preventative
• Ensuring preventatives are taken as frequently as the box recommends
• Set a calendar reminder for when preventatives are due
• Checking your pet DAILY for ticks
• Keeping your grass short

Unfortunately, we are seeing high numbers of tick cases this year, but the good news is there are easy at home steps you can take to keep your pets from experiencing life-threating tick envenomation. We are so lucky to have tick prevention products available for our pets so it’s important we are giving this to them.

Even with the treatment shortages, there are still ways we can help your pets. If you find a tick on your fur-member the safest thing to do is contact your vet. If they are on a preventative and you are worried please still call your vet 🐾💜🩺

Paralysis ticks are out in force this time of year. Do your dog a favour and have them clipped. Not only will they be more comfortable in the heat, it will also make your afternoon tick search quicker and easier.
Dogs love a tick search because it's like an all over body scratch 😁🥰🐶
Paralysis ticks are fatal, so don't forget to give your mate their tick prevention!

Appointments are filling up fast for November/December to have your dog clipped!
I would recommend booking your next 2 dog grooming appointments with me (4-8 weeks apart) in advance so your dog is sorted for the silly season! 🐶

As most of you may know, Brie has been very busy with the arrival of a baby girl at the end of August 😊
I will be returning to work in the Summer so please send a message any time to lock in your next appointments as Christmas is the busiest time of the year!
I will endeavour to reply to you as quickly as possible but please bear with me during this early newborn stage 😆

Don't let your best mate get dirty and matted just because its winter ❄
Book them in for a warm hydrobath and blow dry!
Don't forget to book your appointments in advance as Brie is on Maternity leave all of September and October 2022.
