The very special “Alice”, the lovely Donna Follets special girl who I seen first up a month ago. This is the top photo. She was sore from head to tail and had extremely sore feet as well.

She had been seen previously by other body workers who couldnt fix her. She was collapsing when pressure was applied to her offside front leg.

Alice had a love hate relationship with me during the session. She tried to kill me several times. I was hurting her but it was helping. Her treatment was extremely heartfelt. I could sense her pain and it made me very emotional.

I gave Donna some of our new Horse Queened product “Hoof It” for her feet. Her farrier commented they were lovely and soft like butter to trim!

A month later, bottom photo, her condition has picked up, she is walking better and guess what? No collapsing with the front leg! No heat in feet either!

Thank you Donna for letting me treat your baby Alice x

The importance of body work and correct saddle fit!

This is the gorgeous Jess Barraclough and her horse Trigger. Top video is a few weeks ago, bottom video October last year. No more tail flicking and aggression and looks like a professional.

Thank you Sharon and Jess for the video. Good luck to you all for the upcoming 2025 season! 💥❤

A very large ruptured muscle today!! This gorgeous girl took a backwards tumble resulting in a large horseshoe shape tear in her superficial gluteal muscle.

If muscle tears are left untreated, they are usually repaired by replacing the torn muscle with scar tissue.
Scar tissue doesn't stretch, so recurrent tearing can occur.

A visit again in a couple of weeks and hopefully it’s looking much better under thermography 🥰

Finding digital pulses in feet is sometimes traumatising for clients 😩

Thermography is amazing at pinpointing lameness. This is gorgeous Rocky who last week had heat in all four feet. This week it’s looking much better, just one little white spot left x ❤️🥳

This image has been making the rounds.
Ensure you see the original and get the RIGHT advice. Saddle position affects performance and comfort for your horse as well as yourself. Significantly.
Your horse’s shoulder muscles must remain free enough to bulge under the front of your saddle while you ride. Squeezing/pressing anywhere along the wither area creates a miserable experience for your horse and less comfort for you.
These simple key tips will enable you to set up your saddle in the right place on your horse’s body to offer maximum positive results with the equipment you own.

WESTERN trees have long, broad parallel “bars” generally shaped to flare at the front over the horse’s shoulders. Therefore, the front edge of a Western saddle’s tree will sit farther forward than an English saddle’s forward-most tree points.

STEP 1 – FEEL
Locate the back edge of your horse’s shoulder blade (scapula) by ‘feeling’ for it with your fingertips while the horse is standing still. You should be able to feel (gently but firmly) the muscle-covered edge of this big bone as it drops off toward the rear. Curl your fingers over it and make note of the position.

STEP 2 – CHECK
Place your saddle and shimmed pad on top of your horse keeping in mind that a WESTERN SADDLE’S FRONT CONCHO should be located right on top of/in line with the area where you curled your fingertips over the scapula’s back edge.

STEP 3 – DOUBLE-CHECK that your saddle is placed correctly by noting where the cinch lies as you tighten it. You should be able to see about a hand’s breadth of open space from your horse’s elbow to the front edge of the cinch.

ICING ON THE CAKE – If you can reach back under your saddle pad when all cinched up and feel there’s room for your horse’s shoulder to bulge/swing under the front of the saddle, you can be confident your saddle setup will serve you both best. Note: of course it’s important to make sure the saddle isn’t tilted up TOO high. Feel underneath the back of it when you’re mounted as your horse walks off. Fingers should not be pinched.

Coming very 🔜 CRYOTHERAPY TREATMENTS!! 🥶

Cryotherapy is an instant, natural treatment that reduces pain, increases mobility, reduces muscle fatigue, reduces swelling, speeds up recovery, reduces the chance of injury, boosts energy, increases stamina, improves performance, decreases the need or frequency to medicate joints, and improves well-being.
It is also non-swabbable for the racing industry and can be used as pre and post race recovery!

THE PORTABLE CRYOTHERAPY DEVICE CAN BE USED ON:
•Tendons & Ligaments
•Shin Soreness & Shin Splints
•Joint Pain, Arthritis & Joint Changes
•Sprains & Shin Soreness
•Cellulitis
•Muscle Tears
•Swelling, Bruises & Hematomas
•Fatigued Muscles/Muscle Soreness
•Tendonitis
•The Hoof - for Abscesses, Bruising, Concussion, Navicular, Coffin Joint Pain & Laminitis

Cryotherapy is used as a preventative measure not just to heal injuries!

It keeps your elite equines and canines performing at their peak whilst being one of the most cost-effective and easy to apply solutions.

My machine is on order guys! Get excited! 2025 is going to be a great year! 🐴❤️🤩

If your horse is lame, thermography or thermal imaging may be an excellent diagnostic approach. 🥳

🧐 What is thermography or thermal imaging? Thermography can identify muscle inflammation before clinical signs become apparent.
Muscle atrophy, characterised by decreased circulation, is visible when compared to the opposite side.

Thermography enables precise detection of strained or torn muscles taking the guess work out of treatment options.

The image below illustrates increased thermal activity due to inflammation in the shoulder muscles, indicated by the black coloration, which has expanded within a week. Initially, smaller black spots were present.

This horse exhibited slight lameness and quivering near the shoulder region.
