Grass seed season is well and truely here. Our boy Tyri had to get one removed from his ear today. Please check your pets for grass seeds

First grass seed of the season out of an ear today! Snakes won’t be far behind… Might be a good time to mow the lawn/ weeds if you haven’t had a chance yet.

Hello! It’s been a while since I introduced myself.

I am a fully insured and professional house sitter. I strive myself to be the house sitter that I would want looking after my pets. I treat your pets like my own.

I operate in the Sunraysia area.

My most frequently asked question is if I look after pets in my own home. Due to our own pets, I don’t. I offer house sitting and doggy day care services at your home. if you do require a pet sitter who hosts pets at their own home, I’m happy to provide recommendations.

I don’t currently offer dog walking as a service. I do very little dog walking these days due to health reasons. If you need a dog walker, I’m happy to provide recommendations.

A bit of a personal update from me. I now walk with the aid of a walking stick. My spinal surgery last year was able to prevent any further damage to my spinal cord but the existing damage to my spinal cord couldn’t be fixed and I have balance issues as a result. I can get knocked off my feet easily - so I walk with a walking stick.

As a result, I had to give up my regular dog walking and the income that came with it. This was a big reason behind the recent rate increase.

I’m still working. I’m still looking after pets. I still get to do what I love.

I just have a few limitations now

I’m a little bit slower.

I can’t play tug of war without sitting down.

I prefer to meet new dogs while sitting down.

If a dog is extra excited, I may ask for them to be put on a lead - I get it. I’m new and exciting to them!

I can still look after properties with farm animals, I just can’t lift heavy amounts of hay or feed bins.

I can’t do regular dog walking and have limits on what walks I can do.

I just wanted to put a post up as I think the walking stick shocks people when they first meet me.

My fear of chickens has eased immensely - they don’t like the walking stick so they avoid me 😂

I recently had the absolute best time, taking care of an Alpaca farm. They were so cute! Such an absolute joy to look after!
