Doug's final walk of 2025 turned out to be an exciting one. The creek, where we often walk, is nearly dry, with only one muddy spot left, and Doug and Dracula both managed to find it. Dracula only dirtying just his feet, needed just a quick clean up at home. Doug, however, fully immersed himself in the mud, taking a complete hippo roll. Required an impromptu shower at my place, and now the bathroom needs cleaning.😄🤭😷

Trip to emergency vet today for our own little Nova. When it comes to eyes don't mess around. This morning I noted she was holding her eye slightly closed, made a mental note to check it after I finished shopping. An hour later her eye had ballooned & was now oozing. Vet found an abscess forming due to a scratch. So 3 jabs, some eye drops & nice bill later, we are home resting up. Glad we didn't wait til tomorrow.
