Prevention of Grass Seeds
* Keep your pet out of long grasses
* Clip your dog's long fur
* Keep the Fur around your dog's ears and feet short
* Inspect your dog's fur and remove any seeds straight away
* Inspect between your dog's toes for any grass seeds.
Signs your dog may have a grass seed
* Swelling or lump if the grass seed has already travelled into the skin
*Discharge that may be blood or pus tinged from the affected area
* Lameness
* Shaking head or rubbing ear on the ground
* Sneezing or licking the nose with a discharge showing signs of irritation.
* Swelling or sore eye pawing at eye.
Treatment
If you think your dog may have a grass seed book into your vet as soon as possible as grass seeds once under the skin can travel around the body causing infection.

"Please keep all your arms and legs inside the vehicle..."

A recent glueing of a cracked turtle shell. It's not often that a repair is easy like this one.
Please watch out for turtles as they are on the move.

🌺SPRING HAS SPRUNG🌺

Our Female un desexed cats are coming into season 🌺

🌼Signs and behaviours that suggest your cat may be on heat

🌼Display of affection: You may notice your cat becoming more affectionate than usual. It's not uncommon for her to rub on furniture, toys, other cats, and maybe even on you.

🌼Excessive grooming: She may spend a great deal of time licking her ge***al area, even though there is no blood present.

🌼Mating call and position: Your cat may vocalise loudly. If she doesn't mate during this time, the "calling" can last for several days. After that, she may assume the mating position; head down, forelegs bent, rear quarters raised, tail raised and head sideways. She might tread rhythmically with her rear legs.

🌼Marking her territory: During heat, a cat may spray urine onto vertical surfaces. This is normal behaviour for a cat in heat, so don't panic.

🌼Loss of appetite: You may notice your cat has less of an appetite than usual. This is because her instinct is to focus on reproducing, rather than feeding herself. If the cat is not eating at all, then she will require veterinary attention. The lesser appetite should last no longer than 2 weeks.

🌼Desire to escape: If your cat has the instinct to attract a mate, she may be drawn to the outdoors. It's not uncommon for an indoor cat to run away for an unpredictable amount of time.

🌼 Desexing your cat, helps reduce the number of unwanted kittens, which decreases the stray cat population.

🌼Top tip! Make sure your kitten has been microchipped and that all of the details are up to date.
