This gorgeous senior boy came for a trial ahead of his holiday.

Bodhi is diabetic and his owners struggled to find somewhere and someone comfortable doing insulin injections twice a day!

Lucky for Bodhi - I have plenty of experience with insulin injections and he’s more than welcome here. 🐾

The pack seem to know when we have the golden oldies around, they settle right down and let them do their thing 🐶

HUGE ears but an even bigger Heart 🧡

7 month old Luka and his “satellite dish ears” are on the hunt for a forever home!

He is looking for an active home, ideally with a female dog to entertain his playful antics & somewhere that can appreciate his love of toys! ( he loves toys!! check video in comments)

He’s had a great start on some basic training and would benefit from a good routine & future training to ensure he develops into a well rounded pup!
He is a gentle boy & not a jumper so may be suited to young families pending meet - He is not yet cat tested.

Luka will come desexed, microchipped and up to date with vaccinations as part of his adoption fee.

DOG MEAT SUPPLIER

As you can imagine, with our 4 big dogs alone plus fosters coming & going and the occasional extra mouth to feed - we go through a lot of meat 🤪

These guys have been brilliant with providing bulk stock of various meats and even offering to make up particular mixes for us!

Their prices are brilliant, meat is great quality and the service is next to none.

Located in Port kennedy!

Definitely worth a visit, even if you’re just after some tasty treats for your pup.

Dogs behind bars have recently just taken on a handful of dogs but in particular a pregnant dog due to give birth very soon.
We are seeking donations to supply to our foster carers

Donations we are seeking below;

NON PERISHABLES
Puppy p*e pads disposable or washable
Towels and blankets
puppy milk formula ( Wombaroo )
Royal canin or hills puppy biscuits ( what mum will be fed so don’t want to change her diet)
Puppy toys
Water based baby wipes and disinfectant wipes
Paper towel
Microwave rice sachets to mix with chicken and beef.
Tina of sardines in spring water

PERISHABLES- these can be frozen.
Chicken breast or beef mince ( to cook up for mumma dog)
Prime 100 dog rolls

Next time you’re doing your food shop, please think of these pups.

I can collect donations from you, get click and collect orders organised or you can drop off non perishables to Little paws play school in mandurah.

🚨 URGENT CARERS NEEDED 🚨

The number of unwanted dogs is climbing and it’s officially growing to numbers larger than any rescue in perth can assist with. 💔

Dogs Behind Bars Rescue Inc. desperately require more foster carers able to provide a safe place for more and more dogs becoming homeless everyday.

They’ve got a number of dogs, puppies and pregnant dogs awaiting rescue or even treatment because they have no foster homes available.

There is dogs stuck in kennels whom have been there for months - incurring high kennel fees - all things that will just drown a charity based rescue.

I urge ANYONE who can provide help whether it be a foster home, help with transport or help with supplies to reach out to me.

If you can foster, fill out a foster form linked below, asap.
If you can’t help with any of the above..

These dogs didn’t ask for this and have been failed by humans, let’s group together to help pickup the pieces.

Chelsea’s Dog Journey

I started looking after family friends pets back in 2015 all while studying a certificate II in Animal studies and then going on to study a Certificate III Companion animal services.

From there I learnt basic behaviour and training in dogs, how to provide quality enrichment for any animal & also how to basically nourish an animals diet.

Having worked in boarding kennels, vet facilities, doggy daycares, pet stores and having pretty much a farm of animals myself...I was certainly not short of experience with animals.

I always wanted to take my love of animals further but just wasn't sure if i could deal with the emotional side of Vet nursing but i gave it a good shot in 2019 where i started studing to become a vet nurse. Sadly it took a toll and i realised that its not what everyone thinks it is.. you don’t just get to cuddle puppies all day and make every animal that comes through to door better.. you have to give your everything to help the helpless, help themselves and it isn't always positive so it certainly takes a toll.
