Did anyone else have that Monday morning get up and go attitude like Muddy and Nazara?
No? Me either 🤣

One of the techniques I am trained in is Myofascial Release Therapy. It is a manual therapy that uses pressure to release adhesions within the connective tissue network called fascia. Fascia is innervated with nerves. This clip is of a horse I treated where the fascia had adhered to the latissimus dorsi muscle, and was firing all on its own after I had released it. Fascinating to watch and it did it for ages!

Busy day at Taylor Made Livery with 14 horses treated. Phew!
Alyssa had a great time riding the awesome and forgiving Bentley whilst I worked. Thank you Louise for the lesson and Sara for the loan of Bentley 💖

Love this filly ❤ And she loves a kiss!
Nazara 2 years (Zuè x Twiggy)
No not a pony, but at 22 months and weighing 50kg, he might as well be! Very handsome boy today ❤
Young horses don't get sore right? Wrong!
This is my 14 month old filly. She had a couple of foot problems when last I was in the UK. The farrier has done a great job keeping up with them for the past 3 months.
So in addition to what I call 'growing soreness' she was sore because of her feet.
To me the 'feel' of a young horse that is growing feels very different to palpate than that of a grown horse. They gnerally get very tight over their withers and/or through their pelvis. Sometimes one side, sometimes both.
And in Nazara's case even her back was sire because of the imbalances in her feet.
So please don't assume because they are young they don't need treating. I think it helps them to grow without imbalances that we may struggle to fix later. And as Nazara has always been treated, perhaps that is why she has so far grown quite level, never really 'bum high' or in high in front.
Time will tell but it's good fun watching and feeling her grow.
My puppy finally arrived in Australia a couple of weeks ago and last Saturday her time in quarantine was up and I was able to pick her up. Do you think she was pleased to see me?
Post massage floppy puppy 🤣
It seems all types of babies like bubbles... thst is until one pops on your nose! The kids had fun with Nazara yesterday 🤣🤣🤣
Nice day out at Hickstead. I was only there to practice watching technique and form. No shopping at all honest 😉🤣
Thrilling Derby and a deserved winner.
7 weeks old and my foal having a little run after being cooled off with a sponge bath.
My little foal is so awesome. This week, at 7 weeks old, she stood there to be wet all over by a sponge to cool her off, and then have fly spray all over her (all natural ingredients of course - no chemicals). She then felt so good she went for a run ❤
Twist 4th water treadmill session. Water now a little deeper as he is getting stronger.
I love nature and natural instincts. Baby's first steps less than an hour after being born ❤
I love the use of an aqua treadmill for both horses and dogs for rehabilitation and general fitness and strength. Here is a clip of my own dog Twist in the treadmill today - his first proper session. I am using it to help build hind limb strength as part of my conditioning program in readiness for the World Agility Open championships in May. See how deliberate he is with his foot placements. Can you tell which leg he is slightly weaker on? #oakridefarmkennelsandcattery
