GV Boarding Kennels, Cattery and Pet Transport

Just had a call from a customer who let their much-loved pet attend another boarding facility (not in this area)... the poor thing came home covered in puncture wounds and depressed.. we here this all the time

PLEASE NOTE: here at GV Kennels, we DO NOT allow dogs to run together, unless they are from the same family, and even then, we monitor them closely.

A Boarding Kennel (any boarding kennel) is a high stress, high arousal environment.

It is imperative to understand that NOT ALL DOGS LIKE OTHER DOGS.. it is also extremely important to know when the arousal is getting too high and when/how to step in to reduce it and distract the dog(s). It is also good to know how to interrupt high arousal play without turning it into frustration or redirected behaviors.

Please put your pets first and ensure the people looking after your family member have an understanding of this and will put your pet's health and wellbeing first.

We have limited spaces available over the Xmas period for dogs and cats.

GV Kennels is now offering "In Home Services"

We come to you to help with your pets... by appointment only.

Our fully trained staff come to your home and do those pesky chores you can't or don't want to do, such as clean the litter tray, p**per scoop the yard, feed your pets, give them their medications plus more.

We're on the lookout for someone to help out in the kennels! This is a casual gig, so some days you'll have nothing to do and other days you'll be super busy, but it's mostly weekend work.

If you're not a fan of cats and dogs, this isn’t the right job for you. You’ll need to do a lot of cleaning, like tidying up the kennels and cattery, picking up p**p, feeding the animals, and just general stuff that goes along with it.

If you like things super clean, that’s a plus, but we really need someone who can get things done quickly too!

We're a local family-friendly business and we'd love to hire someone from the area. You will also need to be pretty good with a computer and neat and tidy appearance.

Our opening hours are changing!! effective Mon 22nd July 2024

for the next few weeks they will be as follows:

Monday to Friday -7am to 9am and 5pm to 6.30pm
Weekends and Public Holidays - no change - 9am to 11am or 4pm to 5pm

Outside these times will be by appointment only

We are finally resurfacing the kennel floors. Couldn’t do it without the help of Shepparton Hire, Mason & Lynelle, plus our site supervisor and OHS scrutineer Lucy.
