Reef’s owner was keen for her to have an overall assessment and early exposure to physiotherapy.

We are pleased to report she is in excellent condition and was a pleasure to work with 🙌🏻

This beautiful boy is Kalo, a 6 year old Gypsy Cob cross gelding.

Kalo underwent a full physiotherapy assessment which determined he had pain in his neck, back and right hamstring.

He received manual therapy, mobilisations and some stretches. He enjoyed his treatment thoroughly with lots of licking and yawning! 🥱

We practiced his carrot stretches and rounding reflex which he will do as part of his home exercise program.

Well done Kalo and family! ☺️🙌🏻❤️

Ps. How cute are the foals and friends that wanted to be in on the action! 😂🥰

This is Cherry, a sweet and spritely 14 month old Kelpie.

Cherry’s owners noticed that she was suddenly quite wobbly in her back legs after running in the paddock. See if you can spot this in the first video 👀

Cherry’s owners booked her in for a physiotherapy assessment and treatment to complement the medical management provided by her vet.

After a thorough assessment, it was determined that Cherry had back pain and that the symptoms in her back legs were neurological.

Cherry received manual therapy, laser and a home exercise program. Cherry’s owners also received advice on how to conservatively manage Cherry’s recovery.

Cherry was reviewed one week after her initial assessment and we are pleased to report that she is doing much better!

Great work Cherry and owners! You are all doing a fantastic job ☺️🐾❤️

A fantastic post from a colleague on why you should choose a qualified animal physiotherapist!

🐾 Why Choose a Qualified Physiotherapist for Your Furry Companion? 🐾

When it comes to your pet's health, it's essential to seek the best care possible. Here’s why choosing a qualified physiotherapist is crucial over non-physios like massage therapists or rehab therapists:
University Bachelor Degree: Qualified physiotherapists hold a recognized degree in physiotherapy, ensuring a solid foundation of knowledge and expertise in animal care.
Strong Understanding of Body Mechanics: They possess a deep understanding of body mechanics and movement patterns, allowing for precise assessment and treatment tailored to your pet's needs.
In-Depth Training on Injury Recovery: Physiotherapists undergo extensive training on injury recovery, repair, and prevention, equipping them with the skills to facilitate your pet's healing process effectively.
Evidence-Based Practice: They utilise evidence-based practices, ensuring that the treatments provided are grounded in the latest research and proven methodologies.
Exercise Prescription Specialists: Qualified physiotherapists are skilled in developing personalised exercise programs that promote strength, flexibility, and overall wellness for your furry friend.
Manual Therapy and Advanced Modalities: They are proficient in manual therapy techniques and the application of evidence-based modalities like laser therapy and dry needling, enhancing recovery and pain management.
Hydrotherapy Expertise: Physiotherapists have a thorough understanding of hydrotherapy and its application to load management, offering low-impact rehabilitation options to support recovery.
Don't settle for anything less when it comes to your pet's health! Choose a qualified physiotherapist who can provide the specialised care your furry companion deserves. 🐶❤️
