Manhunt K9 wishes everyone a safe and enjoyable Christmas and a great New Years! We thank everyone for the support over the last year - it has been great meeting new faces (both human and dog) and seeing all of the dogs enjoy their time with us!

See you all in 2025 for another big year of Mantrailing!

Also, do not forget, one of the best ways to work off a big Christmas lunch, is to get out and set some trails!

Tuesday evening we missed all of the rain thankfully, however it was extremely humid! Gracie and Starla were working on delayed starts while Spice continued showing great awareness at her road crossings. All of the dogs had a great session to wrap up 2024!

January and February Introduction to Mantrailing Workshops are live to book 🎉🎉

Mantrailing is an awesome sport for any breed, age and dogs with all temperaments welcome.

Sunday 12th January - Fully booked
Sunday 19th January - 3 spots available
Saturday 1st February - 1 spot available
Sunday 9th February - 4 spots available

$149 per handler/dog team 5am - 8am

Introduction to Mantrailing Workshops will wrap up early 2025. From there, we will be spending the cooler months developing our current teams.

After the morning showers and overcast weather, the sunshine came through and warmed up the tracks for Lucian, Bundy and Rhu! These 3 were all putting in a huge effort in the hot conditions. Lucian was working on delayed starts, Bundy was working on corners and new trail layers, and Rhu was working her trails back out in the forest for some added excitement!

Sunday morning we continued dodging the showers and working the dogs in ideal conditions! Buddy, Eevee and Kiah were all working different components from motivational foundations to surface transitions! A great last Forest session for 2024 for these guys!

Saturday morning we welcomed Bruno, Rocket, Bolt, Kujo & Harlo to the fabulous world of Mantrailing! They were all experiencing their trails in their own way, but most importantly, gaining confidence working independently of their handlers! Great work by all the dogs in some fantastic conditions!

Wednesday evening was spent with Gertie, Lily, Mabel and Archie! The girls were working on various road crossings, direction changes and finished up with some motivational trails. Archie heard about all the fun the girls were having and for rewarded for his patience with a trail all to himself at the end!

Tuesday evening we were out working in the rain! It was becoming heavier as the night progressed, but thankfully our scent pictures were not affected too much for the dogs! Frankie was working her first suburban trails with great result. Daly was enjoying some delayed starts and showed us how good his flowing negatives are while Buddy was working on article starts and trouble shooting this start picture in a more contaminated environmental - a great effort by everyone and all the dogs in uncomfortable conditions!

Monday evening we had a storm brewing in the distance which created a nice backdrop for some awesome trails! Juno was starting her article starts, Gracie was enjoying some motivational trails and Starla was working on her road crossings! Everyone put in a stellar effort in the humid conditions!

As the temperatures started rising on Sunday, we met up with Riley, Mila and Finn! These 3 were darting through the forest experiencing mantrailing for the first time! We used their human sister as the trail layer to introduce them to this activity in a way that accommodated their own personalities and they all thrived!

Sunday morning we introduced Kovie & Kiah to the fantastic world of mantrailing! Kovie was focusing on very short trails to keep her puppy brain engaged and enjoying her time! While Kiah was approaching Diane with confidence but was enjoying the post trail belly scratches the most, both girls did a fantastic job and were definitely satisfied by the end of the session!

As the weather warmed up on Saturday, so to did the tracks! Eevee was working on her multi corner trails and road crossings, while Bundy and Dallas were doing some drag leash work and problem solving their corners.

Saturday morning we managed to get our trails in with Luigi, Elmo and Mabel while it was still a bit cooler. We we're working on foundations with Luigi, reintroducing Elmo back to forest after a brief break and Mabel working multi corner trails!

Tuesday evening was spent with Gary, Sunny Girl and Rhu. Special guest Belinda also joined us to set the first round of trails and also blow Gary's mind as he found one of his besties hiding amongst the streets! All of the dogs continued working on the article starts and road crossings - a big effort for a humid night!

Saturday morning we introduced 3 more doggies to the wonderful world of Mantrailing. Dallas, Khora and Mango came out and had an absolute blast! Dallas put his genetic traits to work, Khora was learning the fun she can have with little puppy trails, and Mango was navigating his way through the bush and enjoying fantastic cuddles at the end!

Wednesday evening it was extremely humid with only very light wind. The humidty coupled with very damp grass provided a great environment for Lily and Buddy to work their trails! Lily's sit indications are starting to become automatic and Buddy was working on an article start in this environment! Erma snuck in a trail also which she thoroughly enjoyed (her footage was too dark to make it onto the reel)

Monday evening was all about the energetic girls! We had Juno, Spice and Jade out working some suburban trails! Each of them were working we new trailing layers and continuing to work on a range of components from delayed starts, motivation building, road crossings and final indications! A super productive session for everyone!
