Very interesting looking Common Tree Snake 😍

I removed this snake from a garage in Coolum the other night.
It was described to me as black on top and moving quickly.
Without a photo I couldn’t give her an identification.
But I wasn’t expecting this.

On the Sunshine Coast, Common Tree Snakes normally have a dark green back and yellow belly. But not always.
I’ve caught blue, black, brown and even a gold one.

Coastal Carpet Python with a large chicken for dinner.

This python had been living around this chicken coop for a while and was always welcome as it was only sticking to rodents.
Well as you can see, the appetite grew.
I love the idea of keeping snakes around for the important role they play.
But if you've got a chicken coop, I highly recommend making it snake proof.

Thanks Ben for heading out to Yaroomba yesterday to remove this beautiful non venomous Common Tree Snake who was found inside and hiding under the couch.

You’ll be seeing much more of Ben moving forward.
He’s now catching snakes full time with me.
I’ve dedicated the last 3 years of my life to catching snakes full time.
Ben is going to help me live a little.
My kids need their dad time back.
And I’m getting too many calls to handle myself
Which is awesome.
Couldn’t be prouder of how far I’ve come in this short time.
