💖 And then there were 2 💖

Over the weekend we travelled out to Rylstone for the Rylstone Kandos and District Dog Show Inc Shows.

While Kenna (Supreme Ch. Kellagem Somthn Inthway Shmovs) won 2/3 Best of Breeds on offer, 2 Open in Groups and a Runner up Best in Group. It was her son James who was the star of the weekend.

James can now be known as Australian Champion Tartantails Kingof New Orleans achieving his Champion title being awarded Best of Breed, Best in Group and then ….
⭐️ Runner Up Best in Show ⭐️ during the Saturday PM Show.

A huge thank you to all of the judges and show organisers. It was a great weekend away.

🏆 James is the 2nd pup from Kenna’s litter to achieve his Australian Champion title. Like his brother Rory, he did it with a Runner up Best in Show. 🏆

🐾 🐾 While Dresden (Tartantails Dresden) and Harley (Tartantails Maiden Voyage TK.S) have been nearby at obedience and rally workshops.

Luffy (Tartantails City Stomp) is having a staycation for a few days while his family are on holidays. 🐾 🐾

What a Saturday we had!!

First up was a very early morning trip to the Bathurst Royal where Kenna picked up a lovely Challenge Bitch and Runner up Best of Breed.

James also won Intermediate of Breed.

Then we were back off home so Kenna could compete in DogsNSW’s Dog of the Year.

All the dogs entered had won Best in Show in the last 12 months. There was some pretty stiff competition and after a very long day, she did great but this year, we didn’t make it past the first round.

We had had a lazy day at home today. Rory can stop complaining he is being left home, instead of being shown. He will be coming back out soon and James can have a small break 😊

Well that’s another Specialty & Royal weekend done and dusted.

Rory and Kenna were out to play yesterday and James and Kenna came out today.

We have all had a great weekend!!

⭐️ I am especially proud of Kennas 2nd x 5th Place in Supreme Champion - All Breeds - Sweepstakes at the Sydney Royal. This was the 3rd time we have entered it and there were some lovely dogs in the line up!! ⭐️

Yesterday at the Border Collie Specialty we had a few 2nds in property classes and Rory came away with Intermediate dog and opposite intermediate in show and Kenna was 3rd in Open bitch class.

Our house guests Christmas holiday has come to an end & it’s time to go home.

We have loved every minute of him being back at his first home. He’s such an easy dog to have around and fit in like he never left.

The Royal Canin Spring Fair has been the NSW's premier dog show for decades in Australia.

With a full panel of international judges and three days of Championship Shows, this event is never one to miss.

The excitement begins on Thursday with our breed Speciality Shows. Supporting these clubs are international Breed Specialists judging at their shows. The continuation of the association between the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI) and Dogs Australia, we are proudly hosting the NSW Certificat d'Aptitude au Championnat International de Beauté (CACIB) show on Friday, the FCI A20 Show on Saturday and our Sunday show offers dogs a chance to qualify for the world-renowned Crufts.

Not only that, but our sporting stars also have their moment to shine! Each day of the weekend features two sporting events. Saturday showcases dogs of all kinds competing in Agility & Jumping courses while more specialised breeds work for a chance to be top dog at the Herding Test. On Sunday, we showcase the bond between owner and dog at the Obedience Trial, while our Sighthounds will have a chance to shine at the Lure Coursing Trial.

The Spring Fair is a celebration of the new season, the colours of the new flowers and the extraordinary, and the beautiful pedigree dogs that will be on show, all presented in peak condition for our world-renowned international Judges.
