NHN Secret Weapon

A surprise kit that popped up in his litter and caught my eye. Already loving everything about this kit and so excited for him to hit the show table next year. He had definitely earned his 💍 to make the show team. Hopefully produce some lovely kits when he is old enough

What to call this special kit.

First picture is my special kit that I can tell is gonna be so promising. Special to see how similar he’s is at the same age compared to a bun I held close to my heart Redemption. This kit is almost like redemption reincarnated again with all the resemblance

Sometimes you just gotta trust the process and grow out the kits. Here are some that we are growing out currently. Can be tricky with the slow maturers as it takes a while for them to blossom but they really catch you by surprise when you pull them out once in a while

End of the show season brings a nice break from shows and working on more pairings for 2025 season. NHN attended the Canberra District Rabbit Club show yesterday with Paul judging. Lots of great laughs throughout the day, lovely to catch up with fellow breeders and get behind the judging table again (Tash). Very thrilled with our little team results. Very proud to hear my opal boy was in contention for agouti cc and my younger ones were very well liked.

What a great way to end the show season for RBA with a bang. I had the pleasure to step in last minute (5 minutes before I got to hall to open up) to judge the trainee show alongside Heather Smith. So great to see so much improvement across multiple breeds and newer exhibitors doing so good too. Therefore we only got to go under 1 show but it was great. Got great feedback on my young stock which makes me feel good knowing im going in right direction.

What can I say that im absolutely blown away by the results yesterday at the RBA show judged by Loren and Maria. Was exhausting week doing all the entry intake and filling in as show sec but it was quite rewarding. Was lovely rabbits on table yesterday and great to meet some new exhibitiors. A very special kit has gotten rung today 💍. Been working on trying to get opals for 3 years with getting every colour but it. After loosing my special girl redemption it was hard but I had great support so I got back up and after 3 years of trying, I got honoured to have this special kit pop up in litter. I couldn’t have achieved it without CHAR CHAR Rabbitry Melissa Hill help from the lovely Ferrari. Can’t wait to see his coat once it comes through

Feeling very optimistic for this litter that it’s gonna be a promising one. Can’t wait to watch them mature and hopefully get some stunners. Thank you Melissa Hill for letting me use Ferrari to get this litter

2023 has brought the stud a year of growth, improvement, heartbreak and learning. It brought a lot of new additions to the stud and farewells to some travelling to new studs. We had the new kits of Redemption, Uncharted Waters and Lionel winning different prizeses from different shows. Highlight was definitely getting recognition with NHN Redemption with Best in Show at the Canberra October show to different awards such as Judges Choice and Best Junior at other shows. Cloverfield Galaxy Quest doing well for Runner Up Best of Breed at Sydney Royal. 2024 will mark the start of the Satins that we are doing and hope to see more growth and improvement.
