UPDATE Jade’s Dog Rescue NSW has taken on beautiful Bambi and she is now safe and sound in foster care 👏🏽🤍

URGENT RESCUE NEEDED
PREGNANT AND DESPERATE

Located in Sydney, NSW.

Have you already fallen in love with her photos? Us too. We’ll cut to the chase because Bambi is needing your help QUICK. Bambi has been surrendered to Southern Cross Veterinary Clinic Sydney due to her families unfortunate circumstances. She was originally brought in to be euthanised, however after a consultation with some heroic veterinary staff and a quick chat to us, it was decided that it was definitely NOT in Bambi’s best interest to stop living that day. She was booked in to be spayed so we could get her ready for a safe rehoming, however she gave the staff a little bit of a surprise. Or quite a few surprises should I say! Bambi is very much pregnant, with 3-6 puppies, and they could be coming any day soon.

Unfortunately Bambi was only last bred in May this year so she hasn’t been given much time to herself in her 2.5 years of living. But boy has she proved the odds. She is extremely loving, cuddly and calm, but cheeky and playful at the right times. She loves to scoot her boot right on top of you, or clamber all over you to give you a big smooch. She’s polite, but she’ll let you know when she’s hungry! 🎶 She’s wonderful on the leash and loves to sniff and learn…ESPECIALLY if there’s roast chicken involved. She’s been wonderful with all dogs at the veterinary clinic and on her walks, including off leash dogs and very playful dogs. She’s such a well behaved dog with a great personality. There’s no doubt that she’ll continue flourishing once her pups are sorted and she’s able to live life with some awesome new paw-rents 🐾.

She’s a petite little girl, weighing roughly 20kg. Whatever breeds she may be made up of, she’s sitting about the size of a Staffordshire Bull Terrier (commonly called an English Staffy). Bambi appears healthy upon veterinary checks and hasn’t shown any concerns health wise or behaviour wise thus far. The father of the puppies is a mix breed medium size dog.

She’s been living with multiple other dogs of small and large breeds all her life, so could likely be rehomed into a multi-dog household, or a dog friendly Sydney area, pending review from your rescue group of course.

Bambi needs an experienced rescue group to take her in and provide a safe place for her to give birth, help raise her pups and then a team to find her and her babies the most wonderful homes possible. We are more than happy to continue helping in any aspect if needed.

She can be transported NSW wide, however any further may be difficult with labour being expected to start over the next few days.

She is needing a rescue save by MONDAY 11th SEPTEMBER.

If you’re a rescue group and would like to find out some more information about Bambi or are ready to go all in for her, please send an email to [email protected] 🐶

Thank you and if you’re unable to assist, please share! 🙏🏽♥️

*You may have noticed that we haven’t posted for a while. We are unfortunately not yet back saving animals, however we were asked to help with finding a wonderful rescue group for Bambi and figured our social media would be a great place to start.*

Hello everyone!

Please help find Roger a forever home.

Roger is a 9 month old Staffy x Shar Pei of approximately 22kg. He is the sweetest boy ever! He is quite energetic and well natured and is friendly around adults, kids and other dogs as well. Roger is not a barker at all and has never been aggressive. He is usually happy to sleep most of the day away.

Christie has been fostering him for the last three months and unfortunately, is moving to Canada soon. Since she can't take him with her, she is trying her best to find him a forever home before she leaves.

He is microchipped, desexed, fully vaccinated, and has his vet visits up to date. He is crate trained and potty trained as well.

At Southern Cross Veterinary Clinic, we are assisting Christie in trying to rehome Roger. So, if you or anyone you know is looking to adopt him, please directly contact Christie at [email protected].
He would be free to a great home.

Do also share this post so that this gets as many eyeballs as possible giving Roger the best chance to find a new home.

A Cause for Paws family, we need your help again!

We have a Local Matters jar at Grill’d Miranda this month and we need you all to scoff as many burgers as you possibly can so we can be in the running for first place.

One burger = One token. The group with the most tokens in their jar at the end of the month wins first place and receives a $300 donation! But our jar is only at Grill’d Miranda and ends on 31st March so we need to get scoffing 🍔🥴

Tag us in a story or post if you make it there!

UP FOR ADOPTION

Honey is looking for her forever home ♥️

Age: 3 years old
Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier
S*x: Female
Colour: Tan
Vet Work Completed: Vaccinated, Microchipped, Desexed, Health Checked, Wormed and Flea Treated.

Honey is a gorgeous American Staffordshire who has spent a year living with my family and I. She loves humans, especially when she is receiving cuddles and attention. She was adopted by my dad a little over a year ago; however, due to his passing, we are unable to give Honey the care she needs. Honey has been an absolute joy in our lives, but it is time for her to find a new home, one that will make sure that she lives her best life.

Things Honey loves:
◦ Raw chicken wings
◦ Chasing after balls
◦ Sleeping next to you
◦ Walks - anywhere, anytime
◦ Cuddles, attention, pats etc.

What's best about Honey:
◦ Very affectionate
◦ Loves all people
◦ Knows basic commands - sit, drop, good recall
◦ Toilet trained
◦ Has the best smile
◦ Very relaxed/chilled
◦ Doesn't bark unless she's scared

Areas that need to be worked on:

◦ Due to Honey being a rescue with a mostly unknown past, she has developed separation anxiety/fear of abandonment. It got better with Campbell (our dad); however, she doesn't like being alone in our room since his passing. She happily stays in the backyard but will tell you when she wants to come in by occasionally yelping and making a slight noise. We think with some training and enough exercise/ stimulation, possibly crate training, this could be improved massively. It did better with my dad, but since his passing it hasn’t continued improving.
◦ Interaction with other dogs - Honey has several doggy friends but does prefer being the only dog in the home. It seems she has shown some fear towards dogs. I would say she needs a home without other dogs and someone that is experienced if she were to be introduced to others. She has shown signs of resource guarding - food and toys, and this seems to be the only time she doesn’t get along with other dogs, otherwise she is great when introduced appropriately.

Honey is a beautiful dog, and the person who adopts her will be very lucky. With the proper training, home and owner, Honey will be the best version of herself, like she was with our dad. We are so very sad to see her leave, but deep down, we know this is the best thing for her.

We recommend that Honey goes to a home with no young children, as she has not yet been tested with them and seems to prefer adult company in the home.

It is necessary that Honey goes to a home with a backyard as we believe she finds this her safe space, and very much enjoys wandering around the backyard exploring. She is a very clever girl and knows how to dig under fences, so will need a home with a secure backyard and fencing. However, she has not done this while in her current home (1 year).

REQUIREMENTS:

♥️No pocket pets, cats included
♥️Backyard necessary
♥️Home with no other dogs
♥️Prepared to encourage and continue training methods
♥️No young children in the home

Honey is currently located in Northern Beaches, NSW.

If you’re interested in adopting Honey, please send through an email to [email protected] 🐾

Rest in Paradise our beautiful Merlin ♥️👼🏽 2009-2022

Unfortunately on 25th February we had to say goodbye to our snoopy man. We picked this teeny little pup up almost 13 years ago, all the way from QLD, and he’s been the brightest light of our lives ever since.

He had the most incredible life, filled with so much love, happiness and food 🍔. Lots of emphasis on the food. He was the most incredible dog, a cat would strongly disagree, but he loved the crap out of every human he came across.

As few will know, Merlin had been dog reactive since he was about a year old so growing up I learnt so much from him in terms of animal behaviour. As he got into his final few years he became a bit more accepting of other animals and he was introduced to our teeny tiny Kyah. He let her lick his beard, jump on his back and share his treats. I wish he could’ve met her when he was a a little bit younger, I cannot even imagine the trouble those two would’ve gotten up to together.

Our little (HUGE) angel, we miss you so much ♥️. We wish it could’ve been longer, but we couldn’t have asked for a better 13 years with you. Love you buddy.

A humongous thank you to Dr Channette at who came out and helped us say goodbye to Merlin. If you are needing a home vet around the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney we could not recommend Dr Channette enough. His passing was so peaceful and he was so happy up until the end 🤍

Kyah wishes our A Cause for Paws family a very Merry Christmas! 🎅🏼🎄

We hope you all have a wonderful and relaxing break, surrounded by your loved ones - finally! ♥️

Our Merlin wasn’t feeling up to the Christmas pics this year unfortunately, he found a very comfortable sleeping spot for the whole day and it’s a bit too hard moving a sleepy 60kg 12 yr old doggo 💤

We have had a busy few weeks so are having a well deserved break over Xmas, however I will be getting back to all of your enquiries as soon as possible. I know I have about 100 emails waiting for a response, please bare with me - I promise I’m getting onto them immediately this coming week. Thank you all for being so patient.

Happy holidays to you all! ♥️

URGENT FOSTER CARER NEEDED!! 22/12
Sydney, NSW

Luna is needing an urgent foster carer over the Christmas period. We had a carer organised but unfortunately it’s fallen through so we are aware this is extremely last minute and we’re calling on a very special family to help out ♥️

She has been posted up for adoption however we won’t have her in her forever home before her current carers go on holiday as we are still reviewing applications.

Luna’s current foster carers describe her as Angelic, loving and full of personality. She has a high level of playful energy combined with a little bit of cheekiness, but most importantly she loves nothing more than a snuggle (normally by laying across your head or your legs). She’s a real Dora the explorer and loves nothing more than a car ride and long walks & adventures. She adores human interaction and wants everyone to say hello.

Luna has shown to be very sociable around other dogs, and loves nothing more than to be chased or to be chasing others. She is a little shy with bigger dogs to begin with, but she loves them once she gets to know them a little better (butt sniff). She is very gentle with extra small dogs and loves to show off how high she can jump, by jumping over them.

Luna is desexed, vaccinated and up to date with his flea, tick and worm treatments.

REQUIREMENTS:

♥️Has not been tested with pocket pets, cats included.
♥️Has been living in an apartment so this is fine as long as you have a balcony.
♥️Great with other dogs
♥️Prepared to encourage and continue training methods.
♥️Children over the age of 8 years or children that are dog savvy

She is needing a carer for a minimum of 3 weeks while we review applicants and find her forever home. She will come into care with all of her necessities.

She will need a foster home where she is not left alone for long periods as she is still learning to do so.

Luna is currently located in Zetland, NSW - however we can transport her to a suitable foster home so location isn’t a worry.

If you’re interested in fostering Luna, please send through an email to [email protected] 🐾

Winston is needing an urgent foster carer over the Christmas period.

He has been posted up for adoption however we won’t have him in his forever home before his current carers go on holiday as we are still reviewing applications.

Winston is a 5 month old, very intelligent little man who has been doing exceptionally well with his training and commands. He’s full of personality, he’s silly and bubbly but also a best friend. He’s also a real sofa hogger and loves to curl up and cuddle always. He is a total love bug and enjoys a snuggle.

Winston really enjoys being around other dogs and can be very excitable so if you have another doggy it’s important that they’re tolerable of cheeky puppies! Winston LOVES an adventure and really enjoys his time outdoors.

Winston is desexed, vaccinated and up to date with his flea, tick and worm treatments.

Hi everyone!

This here, is Monty, and he is looking for a forever home.

Monty is a 6-year old purebred Pembroke Corgi and has been with his current family since he was 9 weeks old. The family is looking to rehome the fur-baby due o certain personal circumstances. He is very energetic and has a charming personality. House and lead trained, he is also desexed and is up to date with all vaccinations, worming and heartworm treatments. He responds to many commands including sit, rollover, wait and shake.

Monty would thrive with a loving owner, preferably a family or individual without small children as they make him quite nervous. In full disclosure, he recently nipped his current owner's 3 year old on the ear in a scared reaction.

He loves: daily walks, belly rubs, food, socialising, being part of family gatherings, and chasing flies. He socialises well with small to medium dogs and regularly attends day and overnight doggy daycare when we are out of town. He absolutely loves people and is very excitable on meeting new friends. Like most corgis, he is a great guard dog, with a bark that does not reflect his handsome face. He calms down quickly after initial excitement and spends much of the day hanging with his hoomans while they work from home.

Please get in touch with us by sending an email to [email protected] to arrange a Meet and Greet with Monty, if you're interested in adopting him.

Kindly also share this so that he can quickly find a loving and caring forever home! Thanks.

UP FOR ADOPTION

Mr Winston is finally ready for his forever home! 🐶

Photos by: Ruthless Photos

Age: 5 months
Breed: Mixed Breed
S*x: Male
Colour: Brown/Black
Vet Work Completed: Vaccinated, Microchipped, Desexed, Health Checked, Heartworm tested, Wormed and Flea Treated.

Winston was unfortunately part of a litter that came into care extremely unwell, riddled with parasites and completely malnourished. He has been in care for over two months while we ensured he was getting healthy and recovering well. Fortunately he’s been doing so much better and is now more than ready for his forever home!

We aren’t 100% sure what breeds are squished into Winstons DNA, but we are quite confident that his mother was a Siberian Husky. We have been told his father was a Mastiff x, but we aren’t entirely sure that’s the case. We believe he had some Sharpei in him also. We think Winston will grow to be a large size dog. He is currently around 18kg.

Winston is a very intelligent little man who has been doing exceptionally well with his training and commands. He is definitely the class clown and has some silly tricks up his sleeve that’ll make you giggle. He is insanely kind and extremely good looking, it’s hard not to fall in love with Winston! When his foster carers told us that Winston was stopped by everyone we thought it might have been a bit of an exaggeration, but this dog is seriously one of Bondi’s most popular pooches! Winston is described as filling the room with joy. He’s full of personality, he’s silly and bubbly but also a best friend. He’s also a real sofa hogger and loves to curl up and cuddle always. He is a total love bug and enjoys a snuggle.

Winston is really well behaved and very chilled when in the house. He comes to life when he goes out on his walks. Winston loves sticks and leaves and plays well with other dogs. Winston is a real gentle giant. He has had a few experiences with children and very much enjoys smothering them with hugs and kisses.

Winston has been doing very well with his training and is fully aware of the word “treat”, aka he is a food monster. He knows a multitude of tricks and has his basic training down pat. He would do well with continued training and boundaries being continually enforced in the home, and would excel in some more advanced training also.

Winston really enjoys being around other dogs and can be very excitable so if you have another doggy it’s important that they’re tolerable of cheeky puppies!

He has been doing well meeting children, however we recommend he goes to a home with dog-savvy children or children over the age of 8 years.

He’s a real character and true joy to have around. He would be an excellent asset to any family home. With looks that could kill and heart of gold, he can’t wait to find his forever family.

All families adopting puppies from this litter will need to be understanding and prepared to prioritise their health. Due to their not so great start to life, their immune systems are still gaining strength and their insides are needing as many nutrients as possible to ensure they grow to be healthy dogs. Winston has shown to have some allergies, which result in a rash on his skin. We believe he may be allergic to chicken and some environmental factors so being mindful of this is important too. He’s been improving while cutting out/minimising these.

It would be awesome for Winston to go to a home with a backyard.

REQUIREMENTS:

♥️Has not been tested with pocket pets, cats included.
♥️Backyard recommended
♥️Great with other dogs
♥️Prepared to encourage and continue training methods
♥️Prepared to prioritise his health and well-being
♥️Children over the age of 8 years or children that are dog savvy

Winston is currently located in Eastern Suburbs, NSW.

If you’re interested in adopting Winston, please send through an email to [email protected] with some information about why you’d be a great fit for him 🐾

UP FOR ADOPTION

Our Binky is ready for adoption! 🐶

Photos by: Ruthless Photos

Age: 5 months
Breed: Mixed Breed
S*x: Female
Vet Work Completed: Vaccinated, Microchipped, Desexed, Health Checked, Wormed and Flea Treated.

Binky was unfortunately part of a litter that came into care extremely unwell, riddled with parasites and completely malnourished. She has been in care for over two months while we ensured she was getting healthy and recovering well. Fortunately she’s been doing so much better and is now more than ready for her forever home!

We aren’t 100% sure what breeds are squished into Binky’s DNA, but we are quite confident that her mother was a Siberian Husky. We have been told her father was a Mastiff x, but we aren’t entirely sure that’s the case. We believe he had some Sharpei in him also. We think Binky will grow to be a large size dog. She is currently 13kg.

Binky will fill your days with love and laughter. So much laughter. Binky is a special character and has a standout personality, she is silly, bubbly, and so affectionate. She really is paw-fect! It’s almost impossible to walk without people stopping and commenting on her, especially her ears (which are ever changing as you can see in the photos), or the fact she resembles a dingo.

Binky has always been playful, adventurous and inquisitive since being a puppy and loves to explore. With a spring in her step, she really is at her happiest outdoors in the open space. Binky will be best suited to a family who are active and enjoy being outdoors, Bush walks, beach, fields, you name it. This being said, there is nothing more Binky loves than real close contact with her favourite humans. She is the perfect rainy-day Netflix and chill partner. She loves cuddles and to be cuddled tight on the sofa or in bed. Binky simply loves to love and be loved in return. She really will be the perfect addition to your family. Binky is easily excitable and can entertain herself, whether it be chasing her tail, or doing zoomies with a toy in her mouth. She will throw the toy in the air and catch it proudly. She hops with excitement, with her tail wagging from side to side, and a smile from ear to ear. She still has her 'mad hour' and is very excitable and talkative during this.

Binky loves to sunbathe. You’ll find her sunbathing in the one spot of sun on the balcony, and will chase the sun. Binky is definitely a bit of a beach babe, she has even been stand up paddle boarding!

Binky does not take an interest in furniture; however, she does love toys, socks, sticks, bottles, treats and toilet rolls. She loves a challenge, and to work for her treats. Binky has had a very social life and loves meeting new human friends, however, Binky has had very little interaction with young children. It is worth noting that Binky does get excited and jumps/hops, therefore families who will be around young children, will need to be mindful of this.

Binky has had lots of socialisation with all types, breeds, aged, sized dogs and puppies, and has learnt to interact with all types amazingly. She loves playing chase with other dogs, especially if a stick is involved. She loves a stick.

Binky has responded well to basic training (sit, stay, lie down, paw) and recall, however, sometimes will take a little while to come back, if something more interesting is happening (usually food or another dog). It’s important the next family has time to continue to work on this training, and we believe with time and effort, Binky will be able to only improve on what she has already learnt. Binky picked up toilet training early on, she takes herself outside to the balcony, and if she is not able to do this, she will use a toilet mat (by the back door). It can take Binky a little while to understand this when in new environments, however, like most things, will pick this up quickly. Binky was walking 3 times a day and eating 3 times a day, however, has recently transitioned to 2 walks and 2 feeds a day. Binky is fantastic both on and off leash, however does love her off leash play a lot, running free with her four legged friends.

Due to the foster families working arrangements, especially during lockdown, Binky has only been left alone for short periods of time (up to 3 hours), but not very often. Therefore, Binky’s new family needs to be understanding, and be able to build on this gradually. You can guarantee when you walk in the door, Binky will be sitting waiting ready to greet you with lots of licks and cuddles.

Binky did discover her voice early on, however, only really uses it in excitement for example if she is playing or knows she is going to be walked/fed.

Overall, Binky is looking for a home, filled with love and adventures, she will be your buddy, your little shadow and will provide you with laughter and love every day. She really is a special little soul who deserves the world.

All families adopting puppies from this litter will need to be understanding and prepared to prioritise their health. Due to their not so great start to life, their immune systems are still gaining strength and their insides are needing as many nutrients as possible to ensure they grow to be healthy dogs.

Due to their breed it’ll be important that they have owners experienced with the breed or someone who has researched the breed thoroughly and understand their needs. The most obvious with these guys is their voices, they are totally your cheeky, talkative husky’s. But most importantly for the husky breed will be their training and way of life. It’ll be imperative that they have adequate training and boundaries set in place to ensure they can live the most plentiful lives.

It would be preferred for Binky to go to a home with a backyard.

REQUIREMENTS:

♥️Has not been tested with pocket pets, cats included.
♥️Backyard is preferred
♥️Great with other dogs
♥️Prepared to encourage and continue training methods
♥️Prepared to prioritise her health and well-being
♥️Prepared to research the breed, or have experience owning a Siberian Husky.
♥️Children over the age of 8 years or children that are dog savvy

Binky is currently located in Zetland, NSW.
